Welcome to your weekly EVOLVE on TUBI review with the greatest sentient office supply since Clippy, PaperclipMike. So far, we have been three for three on good episodes and look to see the streak continue. The tag scene is shaping up nicely, we are getting more interaction between NXT stars and WWE ID stars, and just good quality entertainment overall. For those that don’t know, NXT does house shows around Florida most weekends. And checking the results from the past run of shows, it was nice to see some of the NXT members of Evolve getting some matches. Anywho, on to the show!

We open the show backstage with Stevie Turner, NXT general manager Ava, and Chuey Martinez. Ava is commending Stevie on the job she is doing for Evolve. Ava has Stevie go out to the ring that is surrounded by the Evolve roster. Chuey is announcing that Stevie has been named the Evolve general manager.

Stevie seems genuinely happy about this. She gives the usual speech about taking things to the next level, wanting to see who is hungry, etc. She then calls her first match with two men who are among those at ringside…

Wolfgang vs. Sam Holloway

As everyone goes backstage, we see Keanu Carver and Luca Crusifino get in each other's faces and have to be pulled apart. Nice start with the two meaty men smacking the crap out of each other. Wolfgang then comes off the top with a double axe handle. Sam comes back with a body slam to Wolfgang onto the apron. Holloway keeps the pressure on with an abdominal stretch. Wolfgang comes back with a big shoulder block. Wolfgang seemed to tweak his back leading to Sam landing a double underhook suplex into the corner. Soon after, Wolfgang fought through the pain and landed a Swanton to Holloway’s back for the win.

Winner: Wolfgang

Pre-taped segment between Layla Diggs and Aria Bennett. Layla seemed to not be happy with her performance so she is at the PC getting that work in. Aria comes in and offers to work with her. Looks like we have them in a tag match later tonight. We come back from a commercial with Carlee Bright in the VIP area as we go to…

Kendall Grey vs. Zara Zakher

Nice even start between both women with chain wrestling. Incredibly even match until Zara hits a backflip elbow in the corner. Grey with a modified Eat Defeat under the arm and starts trying to soften the arm. A nice clash between the power of Zakher and the technical expertise of Grey. A gorgeous spinebuster from Zakher got a close 2-count. Kendal dodges a top rope move, hitting a big boot and a flying armbar for the win.

Winner: Kendall Grey

Kylie Ray comes out to comfort Zara after her loss. However, in one corner of the ring is a teddy bear similar to the one Wendy Choo gave Kylie. Draco Knox is at the commentary table talking about his tag team loss last week. He does mention his partner, Tate Wilder is out with an injury. He calls out Bryce Donovan about what happened post-match. Announcements for matches next week include Wendy Choo vs. Kylie Rae and Joe Coffey vs. Harlem Lewis. Dani Palmer and Kali Armstrong have a face-off next week as well.

We then go back to the VIP section with Swipe Right and fellow WWE ID member, Ice Williams.

Kalyx and Haze Jameson vs. Aria Bennett and Layla Diggs

Kalyx and Jameson are already in the ring. Kalyx is WWE referee Jessika Carr, who was a wrestler in the indies before WWE. Quick tags from both teams to start. Kalyx and Jameson get control for a moment, but Haze goes to the VIP area for a glass of champagne. Layla takes advantage of the distraction and hits Kalyx with a sort of inverted Falcon Arrow for the win.

Winner: Aria Bennet and Haze Jameson

Timothy Thatcher vs. Sean Legacy

Timothy Thatcher is a former champion of the original Evolve, holding the title for 596 days. Huge aggressive start from Legacy with a gorgeous dropkick and a standing moonsault. Thatcher answers with gnarly strikes. Both men are going full speed, Legacy landing a suicide dive as we go to the commercial.

Back from commercial and Thatcher has taken control. Thatcher is able to stretch Sean in a bow and arrow before tying him in the rope and landing hard strikes. Legacy manages to land some hard strikes of his own, but Thatcher hits a belly-to-belly for a two-count. Both men are physically spent as they pull out all the stops. Legacy starts to build momentum, landing a nice springboard dropkick. Corner knee and Legacy hit a rack into a twisting suplex for the win.

Winner: Sean Legacy

Nice show of respect from both men after the match. Swipe Right come to confront Sean Legacy in the ring. Cappuccino Jones and Jack Cartwheel come out to stand tall with Legacy as Swipe Right calls in Ice Williams. Ice Willams comes into the ring before shaking his head and walking out.

MOTN: Sean Legacy vs. Timothy Thatcher

Overall, another solid showing from Evolve. Nice to see them slowly bring out new faces, keep feuds going. They are doing a great job establishing everyone without bringing in the titles or huge changes right away.
