Welcome to episode two of my review of JCW Lunacy! I want to thank everyone for their love of the blog and for episode one. As I write this, the last blog was the most-read article I have written since joining the site. It does not go unnoticed. It blows my mind how many people want to read what I have to say about something I love. You guys keep me doing this, so thank you. But enough of the soft stuff, let’s get the Faygo flowin’! It is time for…

The show cold opens with Matt Cross talking about the history he has with the building they are in in Columbus, Ohio. He mentions that he went to THE Ohio State University right across the street. He also mentions that this building is where he was in a match, and the rope broke mid moonsault, and he got a bad injury. If you remember last time me talking about the one JCW dvd I had. This was the match that had this accident between him and Josh Prohibition. He then says he is here to win the JCW title, so it looks like we have a world title match tonight!
We go right to our first match with no delay…

FACADE vs. KALEB KONLEY
Second episode in, and we already have a grudge match. If you remember the last episode, these men had a chance to go for the JCW tag titles, until Kaleb kicked Facade and threw the match. Why wait? Let them settle their beef. I like it.
Kaleb attacks Facade from behind before the bell. However, that is not the real story. Can we talk about the ref’s mullet? Think is fucking fabulous. My man is doing a full “Big Country” Roy Nelson cosplay. Kaleb had control for a few moments before making the mistake of letting Facade space to move. They then started some great chain wrestling, and as someone who loves good chain grappling, I was all in for it.
Facade was able to spam the springboard button and hit Konley, causing him to tumble outside. Insane move where Facade hopped off a stair railing to go to double stomp Kaleb on the apron. Kaleb dodges and gets Facade in the electric chair position and drops him face-first on said apron. Insane stuff from both men.
Facade was able to bounce off the ropes outside like only he can and hit a rolling punch. After a moment, Facade hops onto the railing and hits a crossbody. Back in the ring, both men trade apron positions before Kaleb hits Facade with a reverse guillotine off the top rope.
Kaleb is in full control and keeps it with a backbreaker/flatliner combo. Kaleb goes for an O’Connor Roll, but transitions into the Billy Goat’s Curse before also grabbing Facade’s arms and swinging him back and forth.
Facade is finally able to make a comeback using his educated limbs to strike at every angle. Kaleb rolls to the outside after the barrage. Facade looks to dive on him but Kaleb throws a chair at him to snuff out the comeback. Kaleb sets the chair up and looks for a running Alabama Slam on the chair, but Facade counters with a Canadian Destroyer. Then Facade pours it on with a rope walk Coast to Coast! Kaleb goes to the outside, but Facade is ready, using the chair to do a double jump plancha, shades of Sabu!
Facade went to do a move off the top rope, but Kaleb used the ref as a distraction so he could push Facade off the top. Kaleb then lands a Burning Hammer to get the hard-fought win.
We then go somewhere in the back with someone called Jeeves as he introduces JCW OG ‘Richie Boy’ Breyer Wellington. Breyers basically says he is going to come back and take over like everyone else. The funny bit about him making it rain, he had like ten bucks in on dollar bills.
REDWOOD GIANTS w/ERIC SMALLS vs. JAMES ELLSWORTH AND BREYER WELLINGTON w/ JEEVES

Man, what a height difference between everyone in this ring! First off, we have the Redwood Giants. First, we have Painful Paul, otherwise known as Talos. I have seen mainly his work in the NWA as a tag team with Daisy Kill. On the other side, we have Hurtful Kurt. And if he looks familiar, he is a friend of the MEWN, ‘Big Trouble’ Ben Bishop, the man with charisma as tall as he is! And they are accompanied by Eric Smalls, a little person wrestler who has also done some time in the NWA.
Not much more to say about Breyer Wellington that I did not already say during his segment. I am familiar with his manager, Jeeves, from going to IWR in Michigan a lot, where he is known as Jeremiah Goldmain. As for his partner, we all know James Ellsworth from his improbable stint in WWE. From the squash by Braun Strowman, to the feud with AJ Styles, to being aligned with Carmella, what a crazy journey that was.
James and Kurt start the match as the bell rings. James tries to football tackle Kurt to no avail. Then Breyer tries with the same result. The men put their heads together to try to do it together. Guess what? Same result. James then tries a simple right hand to Kurt’s face, which just pisses him off. Kurt goes for a chokeslam, but James gets a poke to the eye.
He tags in Wellington, who runs into a huge sidewalk slam. Paul gets tagged in and take shis time choking Breyer against the ropes. Great spot where, while Paul is distracting the ref, Eric Smalls hops onto the apron and starts choking Wellington. Paul hit s a pair of running corner splashes that envelop Breyer, before tagging in Kurt. Kurt misses his own running splash as Breyer tags in Ellsworth.
Jame comes in and is able to dodge a Paul clothesline as it hits Kurt. Paul then grabs James, who dodges a punch from Kurt. James unwisely goes for a double noggin knocker, but eats a double headbutt and is pinned. After the match, Jeeves shoes Elsworth a couple of times. James goes to retaliate, but Breyer Wellington gets inbetween them.
Backstage by the merch stand, Joe Galli stops JCW champ, Willie Mack. Willie talks about some of the all-time greats that have held this title, and he is proud to carry on the legacy as the ‘Chocolate Juggalo’ (his words, not mine).

KONGO KONG w/ ERIC SMALLS vs. TYLER FOX
Eric Smalls is back with another huge member of his charges, this time the brute savage that is Kongo Kong. I know him mainly from IWA Mid-South and TNA, but Kongo has been all over. Tyler Fox, no idea who the fuck this guy is. All I know is he came to the ring skipping (seriously), holding a collection plate, and dressed like the Mormons who go door to door.
Tyler tried to speak, but Kongo came right up to him. Tyler responded by trying to use the collection plate as a weapon. Kong stopped it, hit a rolling headbutt for the quick win in mere seconds.
We then go to a new episode of Shaggy’s Spotlight as he gives time to show off a team, I have quickly grown to love, the JCW Tag Champs, The Brothers of Funstruction. As funny and goofy as they are (which is a lot), they can fucking go. Which is why I love them so much.
JCW WORLD TITLE MATCH: WILLIE MACK vs. MATT CROSS

Not really going into who these men are, as I already did last week, but they do both get a healthy reception from the crowd, both of them. Nice show of respect as both men shake hands as the match starts.
Solid chain graps from both men, which is always Paperclip Approved (™). Funny spot where Willie had Matt in the corner for a chop, but swerved and locked in a double titty twister. Matt uses his gymnastics training to get out of a couple of spots and goes for a headscissors, but Willie cartwheels out of it! WTF?!
Absolutely solid match as it is as equal as you could get, no man in real control. Willie was able to get a cover, but Croiss kicks out. Then we get the men standing and banging, trading solid shots. Matt was able to get the better of it and even body Mack up on his shoulders! Willie gets out of it, but Matt bounces off the ropes in a rebound cutter, and gets a very near fall. Cross goes to the top for his famous shooting star press, but rolls through as Willie dodges. Matt goes for a sunset flip, but Willie kneels down and stacks him up for a three-count. Great show of respect after the match, as well as they hug it out and raise each other's arms as the episode ends.
Well, looks like Lunacy is 2 for 2 with solid episodes. Another great mix of wrestling styles makes for good matches. Commentary got me snickering a few times, overall a fun time. Easily looking forward to episode 3.
Thanks again for all the love, everyone. As of this writing, Lunacy episode 1 is my most-viewed article ever! I have every one of the readers to thank. I hope to see you all for the next episode and for everything me and the bWo has planned. As always, catch me on the socials!
