One Match, One Moment, One Promo:

March 20-23, 2026

Buckle up y’all, because this week you’re getting the Best of Both Worlds. That’s right, I’ve got picks from both SmackDown and Raw this week, so our blog is feeling well-rounded. Stop rewatching the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary special (yes, I know the performances were amazing) and take 6-7 minutes to read through this week’s post.

  • Tom Brady and Logan Paul have been continuing their feud, this time at a flag football game. Logan brought the intensity and Tom Brady threw a football at him. Brady is 100% going to have a run-in at Mania.

  • Brock Lesnar is likely to retire soon. And Rey Mysterio would probably be retired by Gunther at WrestleMania if he wasn’t hurt. I’d rather see Dom retire Rey, but I’m ready for both of them to move on in general. WWE needs to stop clinging to the past and begin to fully embrace the younger stars.

  • Speaking of being past their time, Rob Van Dam said he hasn’t ruled out a WWE return. Just…no.

Anyways, that’s enough of that, I know why y’all are here.

One Match

Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Druganov made magic in the ring again. I wouldn’t have been surprised if they stretched out Ilja getting a rematch all the way to WrestleMania, but I’m not going to complain about getting another banger on a weekly show.

I’ve enjoyed them being friends backstage, and their in-ring chemistry is off the charts. I would love to see this run back again at WrestleMania. I need these two in the ring without (multiple) commercial breaks. The fact that these two are given enough time to be broken up by commercials twice is a testament to how much WWE sees in both of them.

One Moment

It’s really hard to pick this week’s moment, and the runner-up will be my first Honorable Mention, but I have to give this to Stephanie Vaquer and Liv Morgan. The entirety of the internet summed it up perfectly: these two were given just a couple minutes to work and they stole the show.

Liv Morgan and Stephanie Vaquer are everything WWE wished Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill could be. Stephanie looked furious as she came out and attacked Liv from behind; the slam she gave Liv in gorilla was brutal. I cannot wait for their match, and I cannot wait to see Liv as a World Champion once again.

One Promo

I can’t believe I’m giving this spot to them, but Roman and Punk (and the Usos) get this week’s promo spot. I fully expected another rehash of last week. More talk, more filler, etc. I wanted the show to have ended with Dominik’s match against Penta. Punk had a…questionably funny line.

Then Jey got feisty. He got hotheaded and said Roman wasn’t around, so of course he should say screw the tag titles and take his shot at Punk. I didn’t expect Roman to actually show up. He came out, tried to put the Usos (Jey) in his place, and then all hell broke loose. I didn’t expect a fight, and I didn’t expect to see Roman looking so bloodthirsty, but it was a great segment and a great way to build excitement. If Roman does win the title from Punk, I want to see Jey get a shot at him again. I know it’s been done, but I need it again. I need it with Crashout Jey, not Main Event Jey.

Honorable Mentions

  • Damien Priest looked so fucking happy to have won the tag titles with R-Truth. I don’t care if he was genuinely surprised or if he’s just that damn good an actor, that was nice to see.

  • I’m so torn. I love Dominik Mysterio, but I love Finn too. The feud is both what I’ve wanted for so long but also something that is tearing me apart. I just want both of them to win.

  • I just have to say that I always love to see Bayley win, and Lyra is fucking adorable. This pair seems to be all over the place, and I’m not sure what happened to Bayley’s alter ego that started to show, but I’m ignoring that in favor of Bayley getting a win.

  • This isn’t a highlight—I just need to vent. There was absolutely no reason for Karrion Kross to be released, and then Aleister and Zelina be given the Exact. Same. Storyline. with Sami “Always a Bridesmaid, Never a Bride” Zayn. Karrion Kross should have gone over in his feud with Sami. Karrion would have been a fantastic World Heavyweight Champion. But it’s fine, everything is fine. He’s off collecting belts in the indies now because some companies know that he deserves them.

That’s it, that’s everything I want to talk about. See y’all next Wednesday, and be sure to let me know over on X what you think of my picks.
