One Match, One Moment, One Promo:

June 19-22, 2026

Welcome back dear readers for another edition of your favorite blog’s favorite blog. And by that, I mean thank you to the six of you that open these up. It’s not easy to come on here week after week and force feed you opinions on what the best parts of WWE are, but someone has to do it.

Let’s just jump on in.

One Match

How do you give this to anything other than a commercial-free title defense? Yeah, we had to have Sami “Whiny Baby” Zayn as the referee, and it led to not just one, but two messy finishes, but it was a title match on free TV.

Cody Rhodes did what he does best. He found the strength to not give up to his opponent and walk out champion—twice. Gunther’s figure four, sleeper and anything else he threw at Cody was not enough. Cody’s got one more (triple threat) match in his future before he’s ready to put these bottom-ranked “superstars” behind him.

One Moment

Lyra Valkyria absolutely snapped on Bayley. I hated seeing Bayley get beat down, but it is so good to see another side to Lyra finally emerge. 

Lyra needed this character shift, and the Bayley and Lyra story has been going for longer than I can remember. Remember when Bayley was going through some sort of dissociative identity disorder, and she’d flip personalities with no notice? WWE forgot and that didn’t amount to anything. So yeah, something had to give.

One Promo

Chad Gable came out and tried to apologize to The Alpha Academy. That’s not the winner of this spot this week, though.

Maxxine Dupri, WWE’s most improved superstar, wasn’t having it. She called out Gable’s selfishness and left him standing in the ring, taking his former group with her. It felt like a less than babyface moment for her, and I’m curious to see if this can tie into her appearances with Austin Theory.

Honorable Mentions

• JD getting shocked back to factory settings was hilarious. Seeing him backstage just trying to introduce himself to everyone had me dying on Discord with my buddy

• Liv Morgan absolutely destroyed Charlotte and she’s headed to the finalls with Iyo Sky and it’s going to be such a good match. 

• Fuck LA Knight

• Liv’s Little Roxy is feeling left out and we’re getting closer and closer to that breakup.
