(TGBH) Alrighty yall, back to the matter at hand. This Saturday we get another Saturday Night's Main Event, event. While it feels like a televised house show, this card is pretty loaded. A solid two hours of wrestling with longer commercial breaks (except for me cause I have a premium subscription to NBC's the Cock application) but ay, I ain't complaining. Just more wrestling to watch and surely getting my money's worth.
(PCM) I always have a soft spot for Saturday Night’s Main Event. As a kid, we didn’t have the money for live shows or PPVs, so if I wanted to see the bigger-name wrestlers, I would get to watch either SNME or Clash of the Champions. With all the weekly TV and PLEs we have now and how easy it is to access them, they don’t hold the luster they used to, but just the name gives me a tinge of nostalgia, and I still watch them.

(TGBH) And nostalgia helps fuel the excitement. What wrestling fan doesn't love a regular dose of nostalgia? Anyway, let's get to it y'all!
PRE-GAME WITH BWO : SATURDAY NIGHT'S MAINT EVENT / MAY 24, 2025
Damian Priest vs Drew McIntyre
Steel Cage Match

(TGBH) Since the Royal Rumble I had seen Drew and Damian getting flack for possibly getting booked for a WrestleMania match. What people don't seem to get is that these are two MAIN EVENT caliber superstars and two former World Heavyweight Champions. While there really isn't room for everyone, you have to make room for Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre no matter what. If they're not in any title picture, they should always be floating around it. I for one love watching these two go at it, you will get zero complaints out of me. And while their rivalry continues to evolve and reach the next level, they continue to re-set the bar for a rivalry and the consequences that come with it. Hell, I'd even go as far as saying they should team them up together like Austin and Trips and let em loose. Anyway, we get em in a cage match this Saturday and it is going to slap. Minus promo time and entrances, I can see these two mountains of men get a good 20 minutes to squabble it out inside a cage. This one still has some juice in it for one more match on TV before one or the other costs somebody a title match. McIntyre somehow gets tangled in the ropes and can't escape, leaving Priest to exit the door for the win without having to pin Run DrewMC.
The Great Brown Hope's Pick:
Damian Priest via Door Exit
PaperclipMike's Pick:
Drew McIntyre
CM Punk and Sami Zayn vs. Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker w/ Paul Heyman

(PCM) This is easily the match I am most looking forward to. You have three of the best in the world, one of the biggest future stars, and one of the greatest managers of all time. Plus, once again, WWE is giving us something they have had for a good while: stories and matches with layers. So much betrayal, tenuous relationships, promises of riches and power, finger pointing at possible heel turns. There is so much here! However, the ending is pretty much set in stone. There is no way that Rollins and Breakker lose. They have been set up as the new top bad guys of Raw, if not the WWE. And since it has only been since Wrestlemania, having them lose would undo all the work put into it.
PaperclipMike's Pick:
Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker
The Great Brown Hope's Pick:
Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker
Logan Paul vs. Jey Uso(c)
World Heavyweight Championship Match

(PCM) Why is this match happening? There is no reason for it to happen. Gunther gets the winner on Raw right after this, so why not just make that match here? And the luster of Logan Paul to me has all but worn off. He says he is here in the WWE full-time, but he isn’t out there like the rest of the roster. Since he's signed with WWE overall, he has only had one match on Raw. I think the leash needs to come off and let him sink or swim. Put him in there with someone who may not be a ‘ring general’ and see what happens. Make him call it in the ring and not have to practice it for weeks. Either way, I got Jey for the win.
(TGBH) I can answer your question Mike! This match is happening to get Main Event Jey Uso another successful title defense before he drops the belt. The episode of RAW in which we will see either Yeetmaster Jey Uso or Logan Paul take on Gunther, is the night after Money in the Bank. Will we get a cash-in that night? Or does the briefcase carrier make their presence known during the match and distracts Jey Uso? Either way, June 9th will probably be the last day of Jey's current title reign. Uso and Paul will surely put on a banger of a match with plenty of highlights to satisfy their thirst for trendy moments. Won't be a technical classic, but it'll be a classic in a sense.
PaperclipMike's Pick:
Jey Uso
The Great Brown Hope's Pick:
Jey Uso via Pinfall
John Cena vs. R-Truth

(PCM) The match we knew was going to happen, but we didn’t want it to happen. R-Truth is going against his childhood hero who betrayed him at the last PLE. This might be the match with the most emotional stakes, which isn’t usually said with R-Truth matches. When John Cena announced that this was his last year and when he turned heel, we knew this match had to happen. However, this is the third out of four matches on the show with the outcome is all but inevitable. Gimme John Cena.
(TGBH) It was bound to happen and we get it with dates to spare during Cena's Farewell Tour. Truth and Cena are 1-1 in One on One competition. Truth owns a Tables Match win over Cena, the same match where CM Punk cut his epic Pipe Bomb promo after. Here we are today, full circle. While Cena has been away, Truth has kept part of Cena's legacee alive by using his move set and rocking his gear. Deep down inside Truth was always down for Cena, perhaps being too real with Cena is what brought us here.
Similar to the Orton and Cena match, the roles here are reversed. While you can pull off a successful double turn here, there is still more to give with this angle if this match isn't for the title. While we may not get an R-Truth World Title run in WWE, the fed still owes Truth for his services to the brand and his services to the fans and deserves the win here. Truth hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle, Cena gets up, Truth tells him "I'm Sorry, I Love You" and hits Cena with his Scissor Kick, following it up with an AA to John Cena and the 1-2-3. Cena gets up and embraces Truth, appearing to have turned the other cheek. Cena hits Truth with an F-U and absolutely destroys him, adding another dangerous layer to Cena's current character.
PaperclipMike's Pick:
John Cena
The Great Brown Hope's Pick:
R-Truth via Pinfall
