PreGame with BWO: Saturday Night's Main Event (07/18/26)

(PCM) Hey there, you lucky fuckers. As you can tell by my accent, it is not TGBH here, but PaperclipMike welcoming you to our blog for the new SNME. Got my article I wrote a while ago about why SNME needs to go away keeps proving myself right. Elder Sam did a TikTok about how not caring a bit about this card, and I don’t disagree. If you read my article, you know how I looked forward to watching these as a kid. I couldn’t give two shoots about them now. But no worries, I am going to still give an unbiased take.
(DSS) I feel completely unprepared for it to be time for another SNME, but I’m going to blog about it anyways. I stay ready to write and tell you the way WWE should be booking.
(TGBH) Another house show gets a glorified stream to keep the folks at NBC happy. This card aint as stacked as other SNMEs but it is what it is. I will be watching but for one match, and one match only. Also cause im kinda afraid to get cursed if i dont watch it, dont need anymore bad luck than im already saddled with. It's the 45th episode of SNME and we are 41 matches short of a 45 match card. Let's get to it yall!!

Saturday Night's Main Event / 7-18-26
Danhausen vs. JD McDonagh
(PCM) I like Danhausen, I really do. I like watching JD wrestle. This will be a fun match to watch. In fact, it is the only match I have any inkling of interest. I got to go with JD on this. Making it a no DQ match makes me think a lot of TJD will come out and help him win. I kinda expect Kit and Miz to come out too.
(TGBH) This feud has run it's course and it's time to give Jordan Devlin McDonagh a huge win on PLE television. JDMD has done the work for years and continues to get better with each outing. And whilst we may or may not get a technical classic here, we will surely get something very entertaining. Should be a hot opener for the show.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
Brie Bella and Paige(c) vs. Fatal Influence
(DSS) I don’t hate the Bellas, and I do love Paige… but this is Fatal Influence. This is Fallon Henley. It’s time for the tag division to move forward and I’m so ready for Fallon to have gold on the main roster. I can’t wait to see Fallon and Lainey to walk out champions, hopefully to be followed by Jacy taking literally any title afterwards.
(PCM) I feel bad for Paige. Only a champ because Nikki Bella is hurt. Ever since they won the title, I have not cared about this division. Nothing has come from the reign. I cannot tell you one thing about it, good or bad. Not a thing you want from your title holders. Fatal Influence needs to win this. If not, why were they even called up?

Lyra Valkyria vs. Bayley
(DSS) I’m so afraid for this match, but not because of the match itself. But because I feel this might be nearing the end of Bayley’s time in WWE. This story was stalled for so long, and now Lyra is in the midst of a brilliant heel turn, and I think she needs this win, as much as I hate to see Bayley lose. Lyra deserves the world, and this will be the start.
(TGBH) Everyone thinks Bayley is leaving but I dont think she will. If she does, I hope she doesnt get lost in the shuffle like literally everyone else does. This feud has some real weight to it and will only help elevate Valkyria to heights she hasn't already tasted. Their relationship has been rocky to say the least and stems from their inability to capture tag team gold. Cant beat em, join em, and if you cant win with em turn heel and kick their ass. I think that's how the saying goes, but anyway let's give Bird Lady a big win here.

Cody Rhodes and CM Punk vs. Gunther and Sami Zayn
(DSS) Literally why are we doing this. Why are Gunther and Sami even on the card. I don’t want this. I don’t want them in the ring. I don’t need the Helluva Kick to lead to an unseasoned splash. And I didn’t want Punk as champ, but there’s also no way he’s losing in a match as champ against these two. Cody is the best part of the match, by far.
(PCM) Why? Just why? This match makes no sense. Just throwing people together for names to be on the show. An early SNME gave us Hogan/Funk. Why? The ‘heel’ team makes no sense. What can I say that hasn’t already been said?
(TGBH) They added Punk to a feud that puts people to sleep. Seriously, this feud has not been fun or exciting or anything to look forward to. Then you have two Women's Championships that dont get defended and you decide not to have a World Heavyweight Championship match to close your show? Idk where this is going, but it's not ending anytime soon. I really wish Jey Uso had won the King of the Ring cause then he'd be beefing with Cody for the belt and we wouldn't have to deal with disgruntled employee Sami Zayn and pissed off at management Gunther. Doesn't matter who wins, we just gonna get the same bullshit cycle restarting on Monday.
