(TGBH) Yo waddup world! It’s a new day but it all feels old. The bWo is in the building, that’s what I’m told! That’s right, another PLE, another bWo Predictions blog. We can’t help it, it’s what we do. Wrestlepalooza will be the fed’s debut on ESPN, a move I would have never imagined in my wildest nightmares. Will the move work? Who knows. All I know is, it feels like we just did one of these last week…..cause we did!!

(PCM)Weird how history repeats itself even when doors are opened. Back in the 80’s both AWA and GWF would have weekly shows on ESPN. Hell, no more than 10 years ago, ESPN 2 would show old GWF reruns late at night. But would we ever think we would have PLEs on ESPN never. Part of me is excited to see where this goes.
(DSS) I’m so sad I have to work through WWE’s debut on ESPN. I’m really curious how fast they’ll have their replays up compared to Peacock, where I’d wait hours for it to go live. I hope ESPN figures out a way to break the stream up from the post-show and get things live quicker. I’m excited for the matches we’re getting and I’m excited to see the heights the superstars will climb with this new deal.
(TGBH) We got five matches on the card as of today, will there be a 6th? Probably not. The way these five matches are presented Saturday night will surely be different from what we are used to. Let’s get to it yall.
Pre-Game with bWo: Wrestlepalooza
The Usos vs. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed

(TGBH) I’ve been out of the loop with wrestling cause of work, but I managed to catch this past Monday’s RAW and the week before. Jey And Not From LA Knight have some unfinished business with The Vision. Jey appears to be having a falling out with his brother as Jimmy didnt like Jey bossing him around like he’s some tribal chief. The Main Event Jey Uso movement has gone over well with the kids and moved plenty of merch, but there’s so much Jey hasn’t tapped into. Turning on Jimmy will turn up the heat for certain, with Jey beating down Jimmy giving the fed the opening it needs to write Jimmy off for a couple of months. Will a heel Jey Uso win the World Title again? Maybe. But he’ll for sure pick up deciding victories against the likes of LA Knight. Bron Brons pick up the scraps of a beaten down Jimmy Uso and nab the win as Jey Uso looks on from the outside. Welcome to the Jey Uso Penitentiary, Jimmy.
The Great Brown Hope’s Pick:
The Vision via Pinfall
PaperClip Mike’s Pick:
The Vision via Pinfall
Darkstar Shady’s Pick:
Bron(son) via Pinfall
Tim Vicious’ Pick:
The Vision via Pinfall
Women’s World Championship Match
Iyo Sky vs. Stephanie Vaquer

(PCM) Calling it right now, this will be MOTN. After the end of Damage CTRL, Iyo has come out looking the best, not taking away from Asuka and Kairi. But if you had asked me if Iyo would have been the one, I would have disagreed. She is one of the pillars of the total women’s division in WWE. But this is Stephanie’s night. For all intents and purposes, she was going to win at Clash, but who knows what happened. I guarantee that Iyo Sky will hold the title many more times, as will Stephanie, but Steph gets her first here.
PaperClip Mike’s Pick:
Stephanie Vaquer via pinfall
The Great Brown Hope’s Pick:
Iyo Sky via Pinfall with help from Asuka and Kairi Sane
Darkstar Shady’s Pick:
Stephanie Vaquer via Pinfall
Tim Vicious’ Pick:
Stephanie Vaquer via Pinfall, Asuka gets involved
WWE Championship Match
Cody Rhodes(c) vs. Drew McIntyre

(DSS) I’m torn on this match, because it feels like Drew should be facing off against Randy Orton on the PLE with some sort of stipulation. I still can’t believe Cody took the title off Cena. Don’t get me wrong, as a Cody Crybaby I’m glad to see the belt around his waist, he just hasn’t had much buildup since he’s been off filming Street Fighter. There’s no way Cody is dropping the belt after just a month. Especially not when he looks good in a suit making the media rounds with the company’s top belt. He’s not dropping the championship until Randy turns on him and they battle it out.
Darkstar Shady’s Pick:
Cody Rhodes via Pinfall
The Great Brown Hope’s Pick:
Drew McIntyre via Pinfall

Cody Rhodes via Pinfall
Tim Vicious’ Pick:
Cody Rhodes via Pinfall
John Cena vs Brock Lesnar

(TGBH) Here we have a match I didn’t think we’d get on John’s Retirement Tour. The booking of his heel character fell flat as The Rock and Worst Batman Ever Travis Scott got themselves inserted into this Cena and Cody rivalry only to not hold up their end of the storee. They both eventually just vanished. This heel turn could have been done differently without getting The Rock involved but it is what it is. Now Cena is embracing the love he was gonna get one way or the other, and the merch was gonna sell one way or the other too. The question is, if not Cody, who gets Cena’s final match? I doubt they brought back Lesnar for a one-off with Cena, we will certainly get this match again with Cena winning both encounters. For that to happen, something crazy has to happen this night. And with Wrestlepalooza premiering on ESPN, I think we’re gonna get a crimson mask or two. Oh yes, there will be blood. A heel Cena would have beaten Lesnar to a pulp and still gotten a massive pop from the crowd. Cena attempts a Super AA, which could have been a Super FU instead, but is too worn out to get Brock all the way up. Lesnar locks in a Kimura Lock that Cena refuses to tap to, leading to a knock out victoree for Lesnar.
(DSS) This is by far the hardest match to call on the card. I stepped away from wrestling for many years, but I have vivid memories of Brock Lesnar and John Cena each starting in WWE. There’s too much controversy around him now, but back in 2002, Brock Lesnar came in and immediately became my favorite wrestler. It’s bittersweet to see him back in the ring with Cena, both because he shouldn’t have come back and because he already had the perfect sendoff when he put Cody over in their final match at SummerSlam 2023. If I have to pick, I’d say Lesnar wins to give them another match before Cena retires.
(PCM) I have remarked many times this year that a lot of shows have had obvious choices of the winner. Don’t get me wrong, as the current bWo predictions leader, I am fine with that. But this match could go either way. During his retirement run, John Cena has done his share of winning and losing. And if there is anyone who can decide if he wins or loses, it is Brock Lesnar. I honestly do not have a clue who wins this, so I looked at the betting lines. John Cena is the overwhelming favorite to win, so I pick Big Match John.
The Great Brown Hope’s Pick:
Brock Lesnar via Knockout
PaperClip Mike’s Pick:
John Cena via Pinfall
Darkstar Shady’s Pick:
Brock Lesnar via Pinfall
Tim Vicious’ Pick:
John Cena via Pinfall
CM Punk and AJ Lee vs. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch

(PCM) AJ is back in WWE, all is right in the world. As someone who does suffer from his share of depression and mental health issues, I have always respected AJ for being open and honest about her journey. The last time Seth and Becky were in a storyline together, the chemistry did not gel for me, but not so here. This is going to be a blast. And both the men and the women have done their share of heavy lifting to get us here. I do not however, see AJ and Punk losing here. It will be a good back and forth match, but see CMAJ pick up the win
(TGBH) This feud has some juice in it. And some pulpy juice if I do say so myself. AJ Lee has returned to the unsurprising welcome of about 99.98% of the internet wrestling communitee. We grown ass men have been skipping around to AJ’s Light It Up at crosslights, train stations, airports, in elevators, and everywhere else in the utmost joy. AJ Lee may not have won the most championships in the world or had all the Wrestlemania main events, but she made an impact on the culture and in people’s individual lives. She has returned to insert herself in a feud that saw her husband in need of her help. The magnitude and hype for this match is enough to give them the main event spot over Cena/Lesnar AND Rhodes/McIntyre. There’s still more we can do towards making historee, as I can see another tag match between the two in a Winner Takes All scenario where Punk and AJ win and take both belts from Rollins and Lynch. As current WHC and IC champs respectively, Rollins and Lynch need to add wins while still champions if they’re not defending. This match will end with Rollins and Lynch tying Punk between the ropes as Rollins hits a Curb Stomp on AJ Lee and Lynch picks up the pin. The absolute heat that will arise from the surface will push this feud to the next level and to the extents of moving on to a Winner Takes All rematch.
(DSS) CM Punk and Seth Rollins' years-long feud is one of the most realistic storylines where the heat feels absolutely nuclear. The two can’t stop attacking each other and stopping each other’s success. While the Brons really need wins to feel legitimate, Seth and Becky can both take a loss without tarnishing their aura. The quartet might share a four way kiss, but after that there’s no way AJ Lee loses in her first match in over ten years. This sets up both AJ and CM with title opportunities down the road.
The Great Brown Hope’s Pick:
Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch via Pinfall
PaperClip Mike’s Pick:
CM Punk and AJ Lee via Submission
Darkstar Shady’s Pick:
CM Punk and AJ Lee via Submission (Becky taps out)
Tim Vicious’ Pick:
CM Punk and AJ Lee via Pinfall
