Welcome to....

If there's anything The Great Brown Hope is a fan of, it's characters that stick out from the norm. Characters that not only command your attention, but your admiration as well. Characters that can adapt to any and every situation without having to be untrue to the characters they portray. And the set of characters that has truly won me over is the Yes Boys themselves, Elton Prince and Kit Wilson.

I wont sit here and tell you that I have watched em from day one cause that wouldn't be true. But they did catch my eye down at NXT2.0. I was immediately hooked. These guys had a way of being just enough to not be annoyingly over the top. That's a curse others have been stuck with or dealt when it comes to character overloads. And that can be interpreted into many different senses of that pile of words set forth for thee.

They have the look

They have the charisma

They have the needed element of wit

AND they can sure as hell go in the ring

Lewis Howley and Sam Stoker arrived in NXT UK in 2019, it didn't take long for them to climb the tag team ranks. And after defeating three of NXT UK's other up and coming tag teams, Mark Andrews and Flash "Not Gordon" Morgan Webster, Oliver Carter and Ashton Smith, and The Hunt, Howley and Stoker were NXT in line for a shot at the NXT UK Tag Team Championships. And on the February 24, 2021 televised episode of NXT UK, Pretty Deadly defeated and dethroned Gallus, becoming the fourth team to carry the NXT UK Tag Team Championships.

And the rest, is historee....

No slouches on the runaway and neither in the ring, Pretty Deadly succesfully defended their championships on numerous occasions. And after a long 287 day reign with the NXT UK Tag Team Championships, Pretty Deadly would lose their titles to Moustache Mountain. A reign that was only second to Gallus' record with the belts, Pretty Deadly had cemented their place in historee, in very convincing, and fashionable, fashion.

From there Pretty Deadly would make their two last appearances for NXT UK as they were destined for bigger lights, a bigger disco ball, and bigger stages. And on the April 12, 2022 televised episode of NXT2.0, Lewis Howley and Sam Stoker would re-debut as Elton Prince and Kit Wilson, new stars, same ol' Pretty Deadly. That same night they would emerge victorious in a Tag Team Gauntlet match for the vacant NXT Tag Team Championships, besting the teams of Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs, Legado del Fantasma 1.0, Grayson Waller and Sanga, and The Creed Brothers.

Pretty Deadly had arrived and immediately proved they were anything but one trick ponies, bringing with them what made them stars in the UK. The tag scene in NXT was theirs for the taking and the competition was just as hungry, if not starving, for the belts that Pretty Deadly came and took from them in the blink of an eye. And in that star making moment, Pretty Deadly wasnt gonna stop til they got enough.

Pretty Deadly would drop the belts to the Creed Brothers about two months later. But that wasn't going to be the end for this new team already at the top of the ranks.

At NXT Worlds Collide 2022, NXT and NXT UK championships were being merged together as the doors to NXT UK were going to be closed forever, sealing away its historee like the Sword of Time in the Temple of Light.

Pretty Deadly would stand tall after winning a Fatal Four Way Elimination Match against teams that were all too familiar foes, Gallus, The Creed Brothers, and Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen to Unify the NXT Tag Team Championships and the NXT UK Tag Team Championships, both being championships Pretty Deadly had already held before. Pretty Deadly would become the ONLY tag team to carry both the NXT Tag Team Championships and the NXT UK Tag Team Championships, at the same time. And the only tag team to ever be two time NXT UK Tag Team Champions. The fourth and last team to be acknowledged as NXT UK Tag Team Champions.

And after winning the belts, Pretty Deadly would go on to prove why they were worthy of being at the top of the tag team division, a tag team division that now composed of talent from NXT and NXT UK. A tag team division that continues to evolve and adapt to the ever growing task of turning the NXT brand into a third roster that can hang with the likes of RAW and Smackdown. A tag team division that was no longer in developmental, but now helping develop the next teams that would come after they moved on to bigger thangs.

Pretty Deadly would succesfully retain their highly sought after championships against the best of the best, The Creed Brothers, Brawling Brutes, Edris Enofe and Malik Blade, Bron Breakker and Wes Lee, and Chase U. Pretty Deadly was now set to face the biggest test of their young and beautiful careers against one of the most decorated tag teams of all time, The New Day.

Deadly, Pretty took New Day to the limit, and proved they can hang with the big dawgs. Proving they have got what it takes to go up against teams at the New Day's level, a team that had already won numerous tag titles and at one point held the record for the longest tag title reign. Pretty Deadly dropped the titles that night, but their true moment of glory was on the horizon. And after dropping the belts to the New Day, Pretty Deadly would continue to chase the belts whilst also putting over the teams that were staying on NXT. And on the May 1, 2023 live airing of RAW, Smackdown used their 5th round pick to draft Pretty Deadly.

Pretty Deadly had made it.

That's right, the Yes Boy Movement was coming to Smackdown. And upon arriving they picked up victories over The Brawling Brutes and The Street Profits and won a Number One Contenders Gauntlet to take on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for Raw's and Smackdown's Tag Team Titles. Unfortunately, their run was cut short as Elton Prince had been sidelined with an injury. But once again I tell you that this is a Storee of Triumph!! And because of that injury, Pretty Deadly had a chance to truly go ALL IN on their other talents that they weren't known for by many. And with that injury, an elbow injury that had Elton Prince....... in a wheelchair (hilarious).

It was Elton Prince's dedication to survive combined with Kit Wilson's undying love for his fellow Yes Boy, and you had some good ol' fashion wacky wrestling spots titled Road to Recovery that were done just right. And done right to keep Pretty Deadly fresh for the viewers as to not forget that these guys were down, but certainly not out.

Once Elton Prince was ready to walk again, Pretty Deadly picked up right where they left off. And yes, the disco ball just gets bigger and bigger. While they continue to be regularly featured on Smackdown, they have gone up against every team on the Smackdown roster, including tussling with main eventers Randy Orton and Kevin Owens.

Pretty Deadly has taken on a bulk of the talent that is on today's full WWE roster. Continuing to add experience and fine tune their craft is all I have seen them do since I first got put on notice. A team that will truly shine amongst the better teams for what could be the next decade. And with no immediate need for either to go solo, both continue to thrive off each other's ever growing charisma. Someone besides myself has alot of faith in these guys and it wont be long before they get their chance to carry main roster tag team gold. They're even about to drop their own musical, and I dont know about yall but I got my ticket.

Thanks for reading yall. Dont forget to follow The Great Brown Hope on all his socials. And follow us on our Main Event Wrestling Network socials as well. And dont forget to brush your teeth. And dont forget to hit the heart button at the bottom. And when you say goodbye to those horses, let those horses run free.
