I wanna give everyone a huge thank you for supporting ya boy cause we couldn't have made it here without you all. And a special thank you to Main Event Wrestling Network for giving The Great Brown Hope's storees a permanent home. Here's to another year y'all, thanks for riding with your boy.
Anyway, yall know what you came here for.
On November 1st we were hit with the unfortunate news that Baron Corbin was no longer with the fed. It goes without saying, but I was truly disappointed and heartbroken. Baron Corbin is one of my all time favorites, top 5 all time, so news like this did not sit well with me. And it still doesnt today twelve days later.
I witnessed Baron Corbin build himself up, brick by brick byyyyyy briiiiiick. A truly gifted athlete that reminded me of a faster, leaner, and cooler Kane. His stature and the offense he used whilst in turn taking advantage of said stature only made him more dangerous. Shiet, there were plenty of matches I was hoping he'd climb the tope rope and take on the flying clothesline as his own and as a tribute to the Big Red Machine.
In an era that direly needed new stars, down in NXT lay in wait a Superstar in the making. A Superstar that would climb and claw through the ranks leaving everything in carnage like a junkyard derby. A Superstar that for a long time not only waited, but exceled during his tenure with the Black and Gold brand. Baron Corbin would evolve into the Lone Wolf, who I felt was one of the better attractions in a developmental territory that was developing into a third brand. Baron Corbin was the gatekeeper and the final boss, setting the tone for the crop of NXT workers that had N(e)XT on the main roster. And most of this crop would go on to making up the majority of today's veteran roster, something that can't be said for every era of wrestling we have bared witness to.
In the earlier NXT days, Baron Corbin would go on a monster run that still remains fresh in my cerebral components. A run that I clearly remember as being more than fun to watch as Baron Corbin was not only getting better with every match, but deadlier once movements become more and more fluid. A truly gifted athelete that possessed the speed, skills, and build of what is needed in a Superstar, not to mention my dude Baron has always been cool as fack.
Baron Corbin would begin working the NXT House Show circuit in 2012, as well as earlier NXT TV tapings putting over other talent that were transitioning to the next level of developmental. Even in defeat, Baron Corbin was being tuned up with every match to help get him ready to work the bigger tapings and bigger events that NXT had brewing up. But twas the night of September 11, 2014, NXT Takeover: Fatal 4 Way where the world was finally introduced to a debuting Baron Corbin, who defeated C.J. Parker in a match that lasted thirty seconds, bell to bell. Corbin would toss Parker after a lockup, hit a monstrous clothesline, and closed it out with The End of Days. End of match.
And the rest, is historee.
Baron Corbin's run would continue to add to the victories column of his microsoft excel spreadsheet. A run that included wins over C.J. Parker, Troy McClain, "Hello I Am" Elias Samson, Tony Briggs, Steve Cutler, Tye Dillinger, Bull Dempsey, Rob Ryzin, Solomon Crowe, Rhyno, Angelo Dawkins, Tucker "Not L.A." Knight, Jesse Sorensen, Axel Tischer, Jesus De Leon, Apollo Crews, Rich Swann, Johnny Gargano, and Q.T. Marshall. Not to mention the house show wins, or the wins whilst teaming with Rhyno and Samoa Joe. And if you ask me, i'll tell ya Baron Corbin paid his dues way before he made his main roster debut at Wrestlemania 32.
Even on the main roster Baron Corbin continued to evolve into the main event Superstar he was always destined to be. A Superstar who spent most of his tenure consistently working the gatekeeper role in every division he competed in, elevating not only himself but those he worked with as well. Let's also not forget that Baron Corbin is the ONLY Superstar to have pinned Roman Reigns in singles competition from December 15, 2019 to April 7, 2024.
Every accolade to his name is well deserved and well earned. And today we are here to give Baron Corbin his flowers. For without the Lone Wolf alot of today's Superstars wouldn't be where they are.
Thanks for everything Lone Wolf, The Great Brown Hope will ride with ya til the very end.
LET'S GET TO IT Y'ALL!!

NUMBER 5:
Baron Corbin's First Test
Baron Corbin vs. Rhyno / NXT Takeover:Unstoppable
As Baron Corbin was in the process of stacking Ws, there was bound to be someone like Rhyno that stepped to Corbin to put him to the test. This match was simply about proving who was the true Unstoppable Force. Baron Corbin was coming in on a hot streak against a former ECW World Heavyweight Champion, a competitor with a name with more than enough weight to it to add some credible stripes to Baron Corbin's resume. The two would collide at NXT TakeOver Unstoppable in an intense, hard hitting competition that featured a rising star hungry for greatness against a star that was looking to shine again and go on one last run. Baron Corbin proved he can hang with the big dawgs and showed he can take the hard hitting bumps as well as he could dish em out. Baron Corbin proved he could work the longer, slower paced match whilst keeping the crowd involved. Baron Corbin passed his first test in flying colors, as even Rhyno was impressed by the young up and comer and stated in a post match confrontation suggesting they should do it again some time. All Hail.
NUMBER 4:
Baron Corbin Wins the Andre The Giant Memorial
Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal / Wrestlemania 32
April 3rd 2016, Baron Corbin would finally get the call he had been waiting on for a very long time. Baron Corbin would finally make his main roster debut on the biggest stage of them all, WrestleMania. Baron Corbin deserved this moment. A long time coming if you ask me. Baron Corbin would come out under the biggest and brightest lights WWE had to offer and entered the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Corbin would eliminate Tatanka and Adam Rose, and shortly after would emerge victorious after eliminating Kane in what I felt was a passing of the torch moment. The days of Kane being the monster of the brand were long gone, and it was now time for the Lone Wolf to be the new monster on the block. The Wrestlemania crowd would errupt in approval in witness to an emotional Baron Corbin as they showered him with NXT chants for the world to hear. A glorious beginning for even greater things to come. On this night, The Lone Wolf became immortal. On this night, Baron Corbin had finally, fucken made it.
NUMBER 3:
Baron Corbin Eliminates Braun Strowman
Royal Rumble Match / Royal Rumble 2017
After his WrestleMania 32 debut, Corbin would run the midcard gauntlet picking up victories over Fandango, Zack Ryder, Damien Sandow, Sin Cara, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, Kalisto, Rhyno, and Apollo Crews. Braun Strowman would enter at number 7 and make 7 eliminations, including single-handedly eliminating Mark Henry and The Big Show. As it seemed that no one could stop Strowman, Baron Corbin enters the match at number 13.
Making his Royal Rumble debut, Corbin would storm the ring and join the Superstars in the ring attempting to take down the Monster Among Men. Strowman would fight back but would eventually be overwhelmed by the repeated offense of Tye Dillinger, Dean Ambrose, Sami Zayn, and Baron Corbin. Zayn hits a Helluva Kick to Strowman in the corner, and Baron Corbin viciously rushes Braun Strowman and clotheslines him over the top rope and the crowd goes WILD! How do you stop a monster? You do it with a Lone Wolf.
NUMBER 2:
Baron Corbin Becomes King of the Ring
Baron Corbin vs. Chad Gable / King of the Ring Finals
The King of the Ring tournament would return again in 2019, with the finals taking place on Monday Night RAW on Sep. 16, 2019. Baron Corbin would advance to the finals of the tourney after picking up victories over The Miz, Cedric Alexander, and Samoa Joe. Corbin, now an established, credentialed, and certified Superstar, would be taking on an up and coming Chad Gable who was looking to find his own place against a bolstering roster. Corbin would use his height and his power to attempt to slow down a much quicker Chad Gable. Gable took everything Corbin threw at him but would force Corbin to work a more technical match. Unfortunately for Gable, Corbin would use his deadlier and heavier strikes to stop Gable in his tracks anytime he picked up any kind of momentum. Corbin doesn't make mistakes in his matches, but one slip up gave Gable one last chance to gain the deciding upper hand. Chad Gable would finally lock in the Ankle Lock but it wasn't enough to stop Corbin. Corbin would hit a flawless End of Days and emerge victorious from this hard fought battle for the crown. Baron Corbin is the 2019 King of the Ring. All Hail King Corbin.
NUMBER 1:
Baron Corbin Retires Kurt Angle
Baron Corbin vs. Kurt Angle / WrestleMania 35
A few months before Corbin became King of The Ring, Kurt Angle was set to have his farewell match as he was about to hang up his Olympic Gold Medal winning wrestling boots. Corbin would take on the task of giving Kurt Angle his final go in the squared circle. Corbin and Angle would go to war holding nothing back on the grandest stage with a mostlly pro-Angle crowd watching on. Corbin and Angle would exchange the momentum catering to the crowd that wanted their Olympic Hero to come out of this one with the win. But not I, I need Corbin to get this win. The crowd wanted Corbin to get what he deserved, and Angle was serving that up just right. Angle would cut Corbin down to size with the Ankle Lock, grounding and wounding the Lone Wolf.
But even an Olympic Gold Medal winning Kurt Angle was no match for a much stronger Baron Corbin. Angle would hit his three consecutive german suplexes, but it wasn't enough to keep Corbin down. Angle would climb to the top rope to massive uproar only for Corbin to move out of the way as Angle attempted to hit his trademark moonsault. Corbin would pick up Angle and hit the End of Days.

Baron Corbin beat and retired the Olympic Gold Medalist and former WWE Champion Kurt Angle at the Grandest Stage of them all, adding quite possibly the biggest accolade he has earned to his resume. The work he put it in all those years was rewarded with a Wrestlemania moment that'll never be forgotten or not spoken of. After all, how many people can say they won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, won the United States Heavyweight Championship, won Money in the Bank, won the King of the Ring, won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, won the NXT Tag Team Titles, and retired an Olympic Gold Medalist?
The answer is one, and that's The Lone Wolf.
Thanks as always for tuning in y'all!! A massive thank you to Baron Corbin for giving me someone incredible to root for. And a big thanks to Main Event Wrestling Network.
