Ay yo, yo, Ay! What's crakin homes? It's another sunny day in Los Angeles and we're still mistaken for strangers by our own friends. But I see you pimp juice, you doing you, keep at it!
Now listen up cause I got a storee to tell.
The Great Brown Hope has always been a fan of Samantha Irvin and her work in the WWE. From seeing her on NXT and watching on as she moved on to the main roster and only continued to excel in her role. A true talent that has the charisma, the presence, and the personality to be a great performer in any capacity of the entertainment industry. And she knows it. And that's why she walked away, to pursue more.
The unnecessary backlash on the webernet will truly surprise you. I mean, look at it this way, wouldn't you walk away from a job you weren't happy with knowing you could be more? A job that holds you back despite your aspirations and dedication? Shiet, I've walked away from a job site or two cause I wasn't going to be stuck in the same cycle at my employer's will knowing I could be more somewhere else the very next day.
You gotta follow your dreams. And if you aint got any anymore then reach back to a time you had one and go back to pursuing that.
Can't fault her for wanting more. Samantha Irvin left us with a lot of memories. And left her imprint on the brand in which she sought out to be so much more. And for that we thank you Samantha Irvin. If you ask me, she's definitely a strong contender for my Mt. Rushmore of ring announcers. Perhaps we'll see her come around in the future for a guest spot or two.
And speaking of guests!
Be.....Our...Guest! Be Our Guest! Wont you be our guest Ring Announcer!!
That's how the song goes right? Anyway...
LETS GET TO IT YALL!!
BROWN'S FIVE AT 5
VOLUME 2 / ISSUE 11
FIVE SPECIAL GUEST RING ANNOUNCERS
5. LUDWIG KAISER
Kaiser is a hell of a rising star in a roster that is only getting deeper, and now even more so with RAW cut down to 2 hours. Yes I am aware (you said you were Kurt) that it's a temporary thing but still, it's going to be something that affects today's talent pool and the TV time they're used to sharing. Ludwig Kaiser has gotten lost in the shuffle a little but continues to loom over and keep his presence known via means as Gunther's number one goon. Kaiser can go in the ring and has shown he can be a personality on the camera and a hell of a voice over a microphone. Kaiser as a guest ring announcer keeps him on TV and surely can do the job for a few weeks before a permanent replacement is found if it's not going to be Lilian Garcia full time. Plus Kaiser would be sure to fit in some slick words in when announcung a foe or rival of himself or Gunther and would be quick to attack instead of sitting down like other announcers.
4. SCOTT STEINER
Scott Steiner. Someone who we thought would never appear on WWE TV again is now a WWE Hall of Famer and has made some appearances on a live WWE camera. Surely Steiner has signed a hell of a Legends deal if he's able to be there without bashing the company behind the scenes. Perhaps time does heal all wounds or perhaps Steiner is just as all in on Bron Breakker's career as the rest of the folks in the back. And if they got Steiner on contract they need to take advantage while they got him. Steiner would be a great fit on WWE TV as Bron's manager, or maybe even his own son's manager someday down the not so distant road ahead. But I wanna see Scott Steiner as a guest ring announcer. Steiner would be filtered of course, but today's writers and Steiner would be able to make it work. A one or two time appearance in the role will give TNA loyals something to look back on with a genuine laugh. Steiner is a legend in his own right and continues to remain one of the greater superstars and in ring competitors for singles and tag competition. And with WWE showing TNA lots of love as of late, maybe we can get a Scott Steiner and Petey Williams reunion on NXT TV. Give Steiner a fackin' mic and let him serve as ring announcer for the next NXT PLE, who knows, maybe if the numbers add up this might not be such a disaster.
3. RICARDO RODRIGUEZ
Ricardoooooooooooooooooooooooo Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrodriguez wrestled as Chimaera and El Local but will be remembered as the personal ring announcer for Alberto Del Rio. One time Royal Rumble competitor Rodriguez would introduce Del Rio in Spanish with not only enthusiasm and class, but with boastfully loud vocals as well. Playing his role to a rock solid tune of greatness, Rodriguez made Del Rio's introduction feel more than personal as his technique was one that fans weren't used to in the American wrestling scene. Every intro was almost alike, but his presence at one point was far more enjoyed than that of Del Rio's, and that's whether they were heels or faces. Bringing back Rodriguez as a guest ring announcer for say, i dont know WWE's next tour de Mexico? Selfishly I just wanna see Rodriguez introduce Santos Escobar and Legado Del Fantasma. Rodriguez also has wrestling trainer on his resume and has worked the WWE style so bringing him in would also benefit them at the PC. And as a producer he can help the newer talents learn the language and adjust their styles to fit WWE's.
2. STEVE BALLMER
When you need the building to get LOUD there is no one more suited for the job than Clippers owner Steve Ballmer. A larger than life personality, Ballmer has always had his ear to the Los Angeles streets and doing everything in his power and more to give the fans what they want. Turn on a Clippers game and you'll see Ballmer on the screen with a crimson red face as he cheers on the team. One to always bring life and electricity to the building like The Great One, Ballmer is the perfect fit for the task. And with WWE RAW coming to the Clippers' Intuit Dome, why not have Steve Ballmer fill in as RAW's guest ring announcer. During commercial breaks they'll surely be throwing tshirts to the fans and bringing out Chuck the Condor and the Clippers Spirit dance team. Shiet, bring the entire Clippers team, maybe even get Kawhi Leonard to choke slam some guy nobody loves.
1. SHAUL GUERRERO
For those that don't know, Shaul Guerrero is the daughter of Eddie Guerrero. A former FCW champion and NXT competitor, Shaul Guerrero has some historee with the Fed, but that's another storee I wrote not too long ago. With ring announcing duties under her belt for Women of Wrestling, Lucha Underground, and All Elite Wrestling, Shaul is a strong candidate for not only a temporary position but as the permanent ring announcer as well. WWE loves second and third generation talent, and having someone like Shaul in the ring announcer position adds a little more pizzaz to their extensive roster of talent. And while Eddie Guerrero cemented his legacy by doing the work around the world, it was in WWE where Eddie Guerrero became one of the greatest of all time. It's time for Shaul to come home and perhaps get back into being part of the WWE system. Maybe down the road Shaul will decide to dust off her wrestling boots and tune up her Gory Bomb and finish her storee. Hey, I can dream cant I?
Thanks for reading yall. I really only do it for yall. And for the folks in the back. And for the folks still outside waiting to get in. Dont you ever give up, we will survive! And tip your barbers, they gotta eat too.
