One Match, One Moment, One Promo:

March 6-9, 2026

Another week has gone by, and it turns out ESPN has given up on letter grading WWE events. Now I don’t have to worry about giving in to WWE, since I don’t do letter grades. We only accept the best here in the OMOMOP blogs.

I’m gonna skip the news this week and get right into the action that keeps my loyal readers coming back week after week.

One Match

Oh come on, do you think this would go to any match other than Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre? Whether the dislikes on the YouTube video actually were paid bots or not, it doesn’t make a difference to our 3x Undisputed Champ. Our QB1.

Cody Raheem Rhodes doesn’t give up, taking Drew’s best hits and still kicking out. The American Nightmare is going to walk into WrestleMania to take on Randy Orton in a main event that is so much better than anything Roman has given in years. These two go back damn near two decades, making this one of the biggest payoffs in WWE history. And it wouldn’t be happening if Drew didn’t screw Cody over time and time again, only to not be able to hold his own in the face of greatness.

One Moment

Finn fucking Balor. The Pele kick we’ve all been waiting for. Finn and Dom have been hinting at this breakup for so long, and the moment is finally here. All the teases and the tension finally culminated with Dom pushing Finn. And when his back was turned, he flung himself upside down to kick Dom right in his face.

Don’t get me wrong, my “Hot girls love Dominik Mysterio” shirt just got delivered, but I’ll be damned if anyone tries to say that I can’t love Finn Balor just as much. I need him to have a hell of a year this year.

One Promo

I could easily give this spot to Dominik Mysterio, but Rhea Ripley gets the promo spot this week, and she deserves it just as much for her social media presence as she did for her face to face with Jade Cargill on Friday night.

Jade and Rhea toned down their dislike of one another for the cameras, but you could definitely still feel the tension between them. Instead of the truly heated insults, we got a hint of competition between their physiques. I only hope their match at WrestleMania is as good as the leadup.

Honorable Mentions

  • The women’s gauntlet was a fantastic match, and I’m so glad Bayley won and will be getting a title match against AJ Lee. Bayley is somehow one of the greatest women’s wrestlers of all time, and severely underrated.

  • Jimmy and Jey had to step in and do a promo with CM Punk since Roman refuses to show up to work. It felt like a forced plot to give Punk something to do while the Big Dog gets his time off.

  • Carmelo Hayes continues to impress week after week, and this time against some AAA talent. What a fucking match he had with El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.

Another week down and another week closer to WrestleMania. Things are definitely heating up, now I just need to find out what they’re doing with Tiffany Stratton this year. Surely the Elimination Chamber MVP has something in the works, right?
