(TGBH) Hola y buen dia mafackas! It feels like it’s been a very long time since we last put together a AAA predictions blog, because it has. Since our last one, AAA now has a weekly show on Saturday evenings which has been the best hour of Saturday wrestling television if you ask me. But that’s another blog for another day. This year marks the 29th edition of Rey de Reyes and will air in three separate parts for three consecutive weeks. We got a nice little handful of matches to look forward to, and if you can avoid spoilers, each week will tell a different story in this three part showcase of Lucha, Lucha.
(DSS) Rey de Reyes is finally here, and we’re looking for some big payoff in a couple of these matches. I stand by the fact that the big AAA events are some of the best events run in all of professional wrestling. I’m not always great about keeping up weekly, but I follow some storylines and watch clips of the matches. I’m excited for this one.

(TGBH) Feels great to talk some AAA again. We got five matches as of the writing of this blog, if more are announced we will surely update em here for all 12 of yall to enjoy. PaperClip Mike is out and about on his way to a wrestling show so we’ll get him back on the next one. This one’s for you big dawg. Let’s get to it yall!
PreGame w/bWo:
AAA Rey de Reyes 2026
Open Challenge for AAA Reina de Reinas Championship
Flammer vs. ???

(DSS) An open challenge, you say? You know who needs extra gold before WrestleMania comes around? The Judgment Day. Flammer has been on an incredible run, that I thought was ending a few times by now. If you remember a few months back, it was heavily rumored that Liv Morgan would be competing for the Reina de Reina’s title, so it would be a great full circle moment for her to appear and accept Flammer’s challenge. Judgment Day just lost the status of having a double champ, and this would get them halfway back there. Imagine how good her and Dom would look with their matching titles? The Greatest Couple Slash AAA Champions of alllllllllll time!
(TGBH) Flammer’s reign as AAA Reina de Reinas Champion is truly monumental. Throw in the matches she’s had since the fed got involved and I’d say she’s deserving of the crown. And now after defeating everyone AAA has had to offer, besides her stablemates, she has issued an open challenge to any woman on any brand. You look at current booking and one name sticks out, Raquel Rodriguez. The Judgment Day just kicked Finn Balor out of the group, as a group, so they aren’t going anywhere. If we’re not gonna get Raquel as Women’s Champ on RAW or SmackDown anytime soon it’ll be a waste of the momentum she has gained over the past few months. Flammer is main roster bound sooner than you think, and she won’t need the belt when she gets there. Raquel answers the open challenge and wins, and we get a rematch on main roster tv. Everyone wins.
Darkstar Shady’s Pick:
Liv Morgan via Pinfall
The Great Brown Hope’s Pick:
Raquel Rodriguez via Pinfall
Fatal Four Way
AAA World Cruiserweight Championship
Laredo Kid(c) vs. Dragon Lee vs. Jack Cartwheel vs. TJ Perkins

(TGBH) Whoa man this match is gonna be a candidate for match of the year. Lee, Cartwheel, and Perkins have helped elevate the importance of being the AAA World Cruiserweight Champion. Laredo Kid has defeated an impressive array of challengers and will have to be on high alert to keep his reign intact. I’m rooting for Jack Cartwheel here, not just to see JGold throw a fit, but with everything else that may happen on this night, a title change isn’t happening. This match will be the talk of the town and the world of wrestling and is a must see attraction. If this doesn’t win you over to watch AAA on a weekly basis then I dont know what will. This match will help make the case that we need to bring back the Cruiserweight Classic.
The Great Brown Hope’s Pick:
Laredo Kid via Pinfall
Darkstar Shady’s Pick:
Dragon Lee via Pinfall
AAA Tag Team Championship Match
Psycho Clown and Pagano(c) vs. The War Raiders

(TGBH) Seeing the War Raiders on AAA caught me off guard but I welcome it entirely. Psycho Clown and Pagano need more challengers, why not some experienced vets of in-ring war? War Raiders won a triple threat tag team qualifier to get this opportunity, as they even showed up to ambush Psycho Clown during his qualifying match for Rey de Reyes. Now, there’s something going on with The Psycho Circus. They’re getting picked off one by one. First Panic Clown, then Dave the Clown. Some say it’s The Wyatt Sicks, but I think Pagano is up to something. Psycho Clown called him out on this and Pagano was not happy, so even if it is or isn’t him, the breakup will come regardless. Psycho Clown and Pagano steal a win here, but not without putting another crack in their partnership.
The Great Brown Hope’s Pick:
Psycho Clown and Pagano via Pinfall
Darkstar Shady’s Pick:
Psycho Clown and Pagano via Pinfall
Rey de Reyes Finals
La Parka III vs. Original El Grande Americano vs. El Grande Americano vs. Santos Escobar

(TGBH) What started as a tournament of 16 superstars has come down to it’s Final Four. For those who haven’t watched yet, the Rey de Reyes Tournament composes of 16 superstars inserted into four separate Fatal 4 Way matches to determine the 4 participants in the last match. They will be competing for the forever sacred Rey de Reyes sword, and a shot at the AAA Mega Championship. This tournament has been won by the likes of Latin Lover, Cibernetico, Abismo Negro, Jeff Jarrett, La Parka, La Park Jr., Pentagon Jr., Vampiro, Sam Adonis, El Hijo del Perro Aguayo, just to name a few. Minus the fraud that is the Original El Grande Americano, we have three Lucha Libre Superstars with heavy history and the birth given right to compete in the sacred ring of Lucha Libre. Whilst my heart wants Santos Escobar or La Parka III to win, it’s only obvious that Mexico’s favorite son EL Grande Americano will walk away here with the win. The Original Grande Americano was recently cursed by Danhausen so he has absolutely no chance in this match. Besides, the real moment of glory will come once the bell rings and the crowd erupts in emotional approval as EL Grande Americano is bestowed with the prestigious sword of the King of Kings and his Grandest Victory to date.
(DSS) This one is going to be FUN. The sheer madness of El Grande Americano having to lower himself to get in the ring with the “Original” Americano is going to be good enough, and then you add La Parka and Escobar? AAA is cooking up some shenanigans. The real El Grande is one of the biggest stars in all of Lucha Libre history, and he deserves this win over all the rest. You don’t have such a long list of accomplishments and not walk out the victor. Santos Escobar could be looking to capitalize on the chaos to sneak out a win, but I’m always going to stand by my idol, El Grande Americano.
The Great Brown Hope’s Pick:
EL Grande Americano via Pinfall
Darkstar Shady’s Pick:
El Grande Americano via Pinfall
AAA Mega Championship
No Disqualification Match
Dirty Dominik Mysterio(c) vs. El Hijo Del Vikingo

(DSS) El Hijo del Vikingo once again looks to recapture the AAA Mega Championship, but he’s going up against the 20 year veteran Dirty Dom Mysterio. Dominik has been commanding both the American and Mexican crowds, showing he truly is the greatest Mysterio of all time. His AAA title run has been nothing short of legendary, and this fight is going to get Dirty on the way to its finish. I wouldn’t be shocked if Vikingo tries to capitalize on interference from Finn Balor and Demonito, but Dom has JD, Raquel and Liv to watch his back. JD stopping Finn from interfering completely would be a great build up to the two of them going one-on-one before Finn and Dom eventually settle their differences in the ring. Vikingo will get his time, but I don’t want Dom losing this title until closer to summer when he’s ready to take the Money in the Bank and finally become a World Champion on the main roster.
(TGBH) Dirty Dominik Mysterio has done a hell of a job getting AAA over on a grander scale. AAA feels like a WWE brand, and that’s both a gift and a curse. Whilst the AAA brand still has it’s own identity and superstars, dont be surprised to see more AAA talent on regular television. El Hijo Del Vikingo is one of those guys that would have no problem getting over once the call-up happens. Dorian Roldan recently got rid of everyone in his El Ojo stable and has rebuilt his brand to feature El Hijo Del Vikingo as his Ace, and Omos as the enforcer. So yeah, sure Dom has Judgment Day, but who gonna square up to Omos? JD? Raquel? Cmon now. Plus Dom is cursed still, so there’s that too. It’s a NO DQ match so we are definitely getting shenanigans. We’re getting Judgment Day interference, Omos throwing people around, Finn Balor showing up when Dom almost has it won, and DAAAnhausen. This has all the makings of a fun WWEAAA main event and will be the cherry on top to El Hijo Del Vikingo’s return to the top. But the stipulation also does say Dom has to leave AAA. Do they really get rid of Dom when he’s the biggest Superstar in ALL of Mexico? My money is on Ex Con Mad Dog Dirty Dom as it always is. Only way El Hijo Del Vikingo is if a masked man shows up to help him win, who later reveals himself as the newest member of El Ojo.
Darkstar Shady’s Pick:
Dominik Mysterio via Pinfall
The Great Brown Hope’s Pick:
Dirty Dominik Mysterio via Pinfall
