PreGame with BWO: SummerSlam 2025 (Night 1)

(TGBH) Yo yo, what up with thee? It is indeed THEE BLOG WORLD ORDER, back at you again with part 1 of our triple headed double header! SummerSlam, is 2 nights now, so yall get the pleasure of reading two blogs! Also!! We have a live Main Event Mixer tomorrow so be sure to tune in!
So what’s cracking boys?
(PCM) The only thing over here crackin' are my bones because I am old. Anyway, this is a big deal being the first two-day Summerslam. Eventually, I would like to see all of the ‘Big 4’ get this treatment. Either way, this show has banger cards both days.
(DSS) It feels so good to be back. Another prediction blog, another PLE. These are coming rapid-fire these days and I’m still undecided on how that affects the quality of the build. Either way, there are some banger matches and I’m excited for the first two-night SummerSlam. I really hope I’m not working, I won’t know until Friday evening.
(TGBH) SummerSlam truly came swifter than Taylor Gang so we’re gonna follow suit and get to the matter at hand. Let’s get to it yall!
Pre-Game with bWo: SummerSlam 2025/Night 1
Women’s Tag Team Championship Match
The Judgment Day(c) vs. Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair
(DSS) This is the easiest match on the card to predict. Charlotte’s character has been more than redeemed. Her and Alexa Bliss are going to take the tag titles from The Judgment Day. This partnership has worked wonders for Charlotte, who has spoken in interviews about how she needed to reinvent herself. She went from getting Dominik Mysterio levels of heat to being cheered loudly alongside Alexa. Meanwhile, Roxanne and Raquel are functioning under a tentative truce held together by the gold around their waists. This is the perfect time to deepen the cracks in the faction, complete with Liv Morgan returning to blame Roxanne for losing her title.

Randy Orton and Jelly Roll vs. Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre
(PCM) Who knew that SNME is getting a rematch? Most people have said this is their bathroom match, but I don’t think so. Like him or not, Logan Paul has raised the bar for celebrity appearances and wrestling. We are far from the days of Jay Leno and Jeremy Piven (SummerFest!). Celebs getting in the ring now are putting in the work to look at least decent and not fuck it up. Do I wish we got Randy and Drew one-on-one? Yes. Hell, we could have Jelly Roll and Logan in the respective corners, but here we are. I see this going only one way. Jelly Roll and Randy win with Jelly Roll pinning Logan Paul.

Women’s Championship Match:
Tiffany Stratton(c) vs. Jade Cargill
(PCM) Can we just turn Tiffany Stratton heel? Look, I like Tiffany, I do. Everything about her is great. Hell, even her finisher is Christopher Daniels-approved. But she does not work as a face right now. And why not use this match as a catalyst? I don’t see this being a long match. Play to Jade’s strengths. Power versus agility. Jade goes over clean for the title. I do not see a long reign, but it won’t be her last.

Sami Zayn vs. Karrion Kross
(TGBH) For months and months!! I had gone about the greatness of Karrion Kross to deaf ears. More people than I can count had said this current tenure with the Fed wasn’t working out post his return and feud with Run DrewMC. Little by little we saw Kross less and less with people saying he wasn’t a draw. They really were, and you know I’m right. However, since his return he steadily got more camera time and was given his own regime with the big beefy Authors of Pain and his very own Wiseman with Paul Ellering. Kross would become the voice of reason you refuse to listen to. I saw the vision. And here we have Kross against Sami Zayn, a man who refuses to see the light that Kross continues to shove in his face. Take Xavier Woods for example, Woods took Kross’ truths and made Kofi see them too and what happened? Tag Team Champs baby!
In a blog I wrote about Karrion Kross about a year ago, I go on about how this angle needs to end with either Sami Zayn seeing the light and reaching his full potential with Kross in his corner, or teaming with Karrion Kross and running amuck on the tag scene. But Sami Zayn is Sami Zayn and will be pummeled by a bigger, stronger Kross til Sami can’t stand. This beef ends with Karrion Kross moving on to someone else and Sami taking time off. Oh what could have been.

Roman Reigns and Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed
(PCM) We are getting big meaty men slapping meat…and Jey. This is the match with the OMG moments like the old WWE games. This will not be a technical masterpiece. I do love a good hoss fight, and here it is. Jey is gonna be on some ragdoll physics until Roman saves the day. I do not see Roman losing his first match back since WM. And with Bron being pegged as the future of the sport, I see Roman pinning Bronson.
(TGBH) Mike’s right. Jey will wanna start the match and will get hammered by Bron and Bronson as Roman just stands there, all Tribal Chief like. That is until Jey hits the hottest tag of the summer and Reigns enters the match to a monstrous ovation. Rome, not Pearce, will put a whooping on the Bron Brons until the numbers advantage gets the best of him. Bron and Bronson need a big win and Roman and Jey are the two biggest stars that could give em the rub they need. Breakker hits Roman with a Spear, followed by Bronson hitting a TSUUUUUNAMI on Main Event Jey Uso for the pin and the W.
(DSS) It feels wrong to go against Roman Reigns, but when he sees something in a younger star, he is all for putting them over. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed are in need of legitimacy, especially since Seth has been out of action. Seeing Roman and Jey get decimated on Raw would usually lead to the idea that they get the win at SummerSlam as their comeback, but this is going to be the match to break the trend.

World Heavyweight Championship Match
Gunther(c) vs CM Punk
(DSS) CM Punk is going to get his moment winning a world championship in WWE. Gunther is my least favorite World Heavyweight Champion since the title was introduced. He 100% got the title just to up the stakes for Goldberg. Punk has been passed over for title matches and wins since his return and this is going to be his moment. It’s not going to be a long reign, with Seth Rollins making a “surprise” return and cashing in his contract to take the title away from Punk. Punk gets his moment with the title, and Seth gets to ruin it for him to end the show.
(TGBH) CM Punk returned and has done nothing put over other talent whilst looming in the main event picture. It’s CM Punk’s turn at the top. Seth Rollins’ injury will play a factor and I just dont see Rollins coming back so quickly and not defending the belt right away. CM Punk’s time in the Fed has been nothing but beneficial for both sides and it’s time he gets to run as the face of the company for at least a couple months. Let Seth heal up and come back when we least expect it, just to steal Punk’s title. CM Punk and Gunther will truly be a slobber knocker, I fully expect Punk to use his submission game to his advantage and force Gunther to tap out with an Anaconda Vise.
(PCM) I have surprised myself saying this, but the match Gunther had with Goldberg might have saved this reign. The rumor is that John Cena’s final opponent will be Gunther. We may see Gunther doing a whole ‘old guard vs. new guard’ thing. If that is true, Gunther can go off and say he has beaten everyone’s heroes. Not like the old Randy Orton ‘Legend Killer’ gimmick, HE beat Jey, he beat Goldberg, if the rumor is true, I see him beating Cena. And I see him beating Punk here. Gonna say it now, before the reign is over, I see him beating Roman too.
