They say dont ever meet your heroes. Reverence is temporary. Until, the truth comes out.

Hello everyone, all 29 of you, it's been a minute. Things have been rough but I truly hope this finds you in a safe place. I hope this finds you well my friend.

We're gonna get right to it y'all.

Welcome back to!

Recently we were hit with the news of Hulk Hogan's passing. A loss that rocked the world of wrestling, sports entertainment, and beyond. Hulk Hogan was one of the more known faces of professional wrestling, having given decades of his life to the craft. The Fed wouldn't be what it is today without Hogan's contributions to the game.

But as much good as Hogan did, storees told by his previous co-workers would say otherwise. From single-handedly shutting down unionization to purposely holding back talent, Hogan wasn't the saint he portrayed on our television screens. But hey, it wasn't me who told those storees, you should see them for yourself if you haven't already.

If you think I'm here to bash Hogan, you will surely be disappointed.

For years, Hogan told us to take our vitamins and say our prayers, and we go too can be like the Hulkster. I was but a child, like everyone else, the first time I was attracted to the aura of the yellow and red.

For years, as I grew older, Hogan was always there. Nah seriously, Hogan was everywhere. He even popped up in a 3 Ninjas movie, putting over no one if you need to ask.

For years, we looked up to this man. We looked up to this larger than life character that made us believe in ourselves. From watching him show up at WMXX to save Eugene to an enormous ovation, to re-setting the WrestleMania dream match standard in a match against The Great One. Could you really hate Hulk Hogan?

The answer is yes.

Audio of Hulk Hogan making some very racist remarks (and admitting he's a racist) leaked for the entire world to hear.

My heart dropped fast. My heart dropped for the child inside me, a child that still held on to some sort of innocence. My heart broke for my Black brothers and sisters, more so for the ones who grew up looking up to Hogan just like me.

My heart hurt for the many Superstars that looked up to him as well, some even having had the chance to have worked with him. Cause now what was that worth? For when having the chance to apologize for his remarks, Hogan did not.

Hatred isn't something you're born with, it gets taught

I know many can relate, regardless of the color of our skin. But for those who somehow cannot, it feels like betrayal. In fact, it's worse. For when your heroes let you down, who do you look to now?

And while you may say that was a long time ago, I'm here to tell you that people like that never change. That mentality doesn't just go away. And yes, some people do work towards change, but not Hulk Hogan. Everyone knew it. For what good is a legacy like Hulk Hogan's if it's tarnished by his public disdain for certain people.

Reality can be life altering and could shatter a fragile heart. This reality caused an entire generation to turn their backs on this person, and more. For what feels like decades, this is what Hogan has been remembered for and that may always be the case.

And in our times where we needed a hero, times like today, Hogan wasn't on our side.

I'm a Real American too, Hulk Hogan.

What makes us less American than anyone else? You were supposed to fight for the rights of EVERY man, but clearly that may have never been the case.
