Ay yoooooo! People over there, what's up! It's The Great Brown Hope coming at ya from every side with another new blog series. You've seen me talk about wrestling cards and my Shayna Baszler approved Shayna Baszler Super Collection....

Bet you're thinking, damn that'a alot of Shayna Baszler cards Mr. Great Brown Hope, and yes it really is. But what's a super collection without a super amount of cards? And that's just a portion of it. There is SO much more.
Many of those in the hobby on twitter, and probably other social platforms, take part in using the hashtag Wrestling Card Wednesday to show off their card collections. And whilst I cannot talk about every single Shayna Baszler card in my collection in ONE blog, I decided I'd start a brand new blog series that'll allow me to show off every last Shayna Baszler in my Shayna Baszler Super Collection.
Readers and card collectors alike, welcome to the 1st episode of SHAYNA CARD SUNDAY!!
Right off the bat I'm gonna let yall know that isnt gonna be one of those blogs where I act like I know every last aspect of the wrestling card collecting hobby, because I dont. What I do know is I love collecting wrestling cards, more than I love collecting anything else. And I collect CDs, VHS tapes, action figures, ect., but those are other blogs for other days in the near future.
Some have asked why I collect Shayna Baszler, as if there's anyone cooler to collect. Cause there isn't. I've been a fan of Shayna Baszler's work since her debut in the Mae Young Classic, and I've been down for the Queen of Spades ever since. I looked up her previous work to fill the time gaps between her matches on NXT television, needing that regular dose of ass kicking awesomeness.
I was already collecting cards, but didn't collect one specific Superstar just yet. I had a little bit of everything as I wasn't buying cards on a regular basis in the 2020s. What I have always collected are what we call "ebay 1/1s" where you get the last sequential card of that limited run. In this case, I had decided I wanted to add my first Shayna Baszler card to my collection and I wanted it to be an "ebay 1/1". I entered the search terms needed, and came across the very card that would be my first Shayna Baszler card purchase, and first official card of my Shayna Baszler Super Collection.

The first card that came up in that search was the first one I bought. And I went over to the seller's store and bought some more Shayna Baszler cards he had. The Super Collection was off to a hot start and I had no plans of slowing down.
In about six years I've managed to acquire many cards that some may never get their hands on. And at the same time, I have found other Shayna Baszler collectors who have cards I may never see. But that's the beauty of the hobby. There's so much to find and so much to buy and yet so little time!
But here, we got time to talk Shayna Baszler cards every single Sunday! And with this being the first drop of this series, allow me to show off another card! Shayna Baszler's FIRST UFC card!!

Shayna Baszler / Flag Parallel #'ed 040/148
I knew Shayna Baszler was already an established name in the world of mixed martials and combat, but what I didn't know is her first trading card was NOT a WWE card. Remember, I'm not gonna sit here and pretend I know about every last card release in our space time continuum so it really came off as a suprise for me that UFC cards existed.
And this one was NOT an easy card to attain. Someone on ebay had listed the Black Parallel /25 and I had to have it but missed out as I was working when the auction was ending. Luckily I was eventually able to snag the Flag Parallel /148.
This card is available in five different variations:

Platinum 1/1
Getting a hold of this numbered variation was difficult enough, finding the other five is gonna be one hell of a mission. Here's to hoping I can snag at least one or two more for me to write a blog about!!
