"Un Mexicano nace donde se le da su CHINGADA gana!"
Que onda mis amigos y amigas, y bienvenidos! I wanted to take some time to address something that has been spoken about since the beginnings of this character in a two part special. Alot is being said on the interwebs and some folks think they can speak on our behalf. As a representative of the Brown community, I bring forth for thee not only a statement, but also an invitation.

Welcome back to a fresher series of mine that I thought was perfect for this occasion. The Great Brown Hope is hosting a Carne Asada, and the list of invites is only getting longer, but still exclusive. Only the downest of the down, and the Brownest of the Brown will get to enter through the side gate into the backyard where we shall be boogie-ing ese. So that means no phonies allowed and for certain no fake ass bustas, ey. A strictly Invitation Only affair in the heart of the barrio homes. So caile, bring a six pack and some blunt wraps cause we are ouchea cooking.
Next up on our list, Mexico's greatest, El Grande Americano.

We all KNEW him as Marcel Barthel and Ludwig Kaiser at some point that feels like way back when. Once a part of the stable that protected the sacredness of the squared circle, Kaiser had seen his share of success in the form of NXT UK tag team Gold. One by one, members of the Imperium stable would fall out of grace with their leader and be banished from the group. Kaiser was no different. What felt like a solo resurgence in the Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship division eventually went up in smoke. And now, where do we put Kaiser next?

An unfortunately timed injury would put Chad Gable on the shelf, but not the Grande Americano gimmick. There were backstage chismes of Kaiser wearing the mask, and he would eventually show up on RAW as El Grande Americano. And whilst Gable's character wasn't the most popular amongst fans, yet, Kaiser's true rise to glory would come after his AAA debut in an Alianzas House Show against Octagon Jr., and the rest is historee.

Post match, El Grande Americano would cut a promo and then serenade the crowd, singing Cielito Lindo to the approval of the masses. This would mark the exact moment El Grande Americano became one of Mexico's own. This was no longer a character that was meant to be the answer to Chad Gable's feud with Luchadores. El Grande Americano was now El Grande Mexicano, he and we just didnt know it yet.
AAA talent would let it be known that they felt that El Grande Americano was a fraud and a joke to the sport of Lucha Libre. El Grande Americano would slowly earn the respect of the locker room whilst gaining steam and popularity with the fans. El Grande Americano would go on to do battle in AAA Alianzas house shows with wins over El Fiscal and Galeno del Mal, and a tag team victory with El Texano Jr. against El Mesias and Mecha Wolf. El Grande Americano would add another layer to the character, thanking these generational stars for the honor as he had wrestled their fathers back in the day. And with gaining the respect of his peers, everyone except El Hijo del Vikingo, El Grande Americano was welcomed into the fray, not the band, and was now an accepted and respected member of the brand.

El Grande Americano would also become a permanent and weekly fixture on main roster television, even get himself a pair of goons. Los Americanos was now a stable of three talents that otherwise wouldn't be on television. These three talents not only played characters but also went all in with the culture, never once making a mockery of it. Bate and Dunne look to have tapped into something special as their characters feel just as genuine as El Grande Americano's and that's what has brought them success in Mexico and new life on the main roster. Learning another language is hard enough, but the extra work has gone into the personalities, and the lingo, that ooze authenticity.

El Grande Americano went from being a manufactured character, to becoming one of Mexico's greatest heroes. And in times like today, what we need now more than ever is more heroes. Take it from a Brown guy, We have accepted El Grande Americano as one of our own. We proudly claim El Grande Americano as one of our own. It's like El Grande Americano has always said, Mexican Pride isn't the color of our skin, Mexican Pride is our culture.
