Bizzy Bone, born Bryon Anthony McCane II, is one of the Five members of legendary Hip Hop and Rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. A group that has been actively releasing music since 1993, Bone Thugs have garnered sales that have hit more than 50 million records sold worldwide, and STILL going.
A group that has cemented their status as legends, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's music and legacy have withstood the test of time transcending through three decades....and STILL going.
A group that has performed in venues everywhere and anywhere for their millions...... AND MILLIONS of fans around the world.... and STILL touring.
And as music continues to evolve with the times, their music remains familiar, yet nostalgic. Aggressively melodic, emotionally triggering, but satisfyingly soothing. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony continue to hold their footing in an era where many fade into historee.
But life before, during, and after Bone Thugs-N-Harmony wasn't always a picture perfect portrait for Bizzy Bone....
We were gone for two years. Alot of messed up things happened. I was told so many crazy things, my mother was dead, my grandmother was dead, there was no more Christmas.
Bryon Anthony McCane II, was born in Columbus Ohio on September 12, 1976. Bryon lived with his father, mother, and two sisters, Hope and Heather. Bryon's parents had many fights and arguments, stemming from trust issues about who Bryon's biological father was.
Upon finding out that Bryon was not his son, Bryon's stepfather took Bryon and his sisters and left while their mother was at work. Bryon, Hope, and Heather had been kidnapped.
He said we would be starting a new life, but it was no life. We bounced around from hotel to hotel, city to city. We went from broken down car to broken down car. We didn't have anything to eat so we would walk up to old ladies at rest stops and ask them for a bite of their food. We used to sing the song Roseanna by Toto as a way to stay close to and not forget our mother Roseanne, which would really anger Byron.
Byron, his stepfather now abductor, kept Bryon and his sisters for two years where they eventually ended up in Oklahoma. While living with Byron, the search for Bryon and his sisters gathered national attention through the form of the movie about John Walsh's son, Adam.
On October 10, 1983, NBC aired a movie about the kidnapping and murder of Adam Walsh, son of John Walsh and Revé Walsh. We all know John as the host of America's Most Wanted, and powerful advocate for recovering America's missing youth.
At the conclusion of the film's broadcast, photos of many missing children were shown, including Bryon.
Out of 30 million plus viewers, it was Bryon's babysitter that recognized him and called in to alert authorities that she knew where Bryon and his sisters were.
Thanks to her and John Walsh, Bryon, Hope, and Heather were now going home to their mother.
Bryon has gone on to state that memories of them coming home were a blur. Because of his young age he could not process what he was going through as he would simply forget and move on. Physical and mental abuse for a child so young only caused so much irreperable damage that would later show it's face in the midst of adversity and perseverance. The gruesome sadness in forgetting the moment he was reunited with his mother after he was told she was dead.
This would prove to be the first of many soul breaking trials for Bryon. For coming home wasn't much of a homecoming.
By the time Bryon and his sisters were home again, their mother had already re-married. The cycle of his mother, himself, and his siblings being physically and emotionally abused only continued and got worse over time. Bryon's mother got a divorce, but still the cycle continued with her partners after, forcing the children to constantly endure traumas they were becoming familiar with.
Still they persevered.
Their struggles and hardships made an unfortunate turn when Bryon's mother could no longer take care of them and turned them over to foster care. Bryon was only 7. Bryon had come home to his mother only to meet with a heart breaking fate. Bryon would go on to spend 6 years in the foster system. It was here where Bryon would meet his brother, Adrian Parlette. And a new chapter in Bryon's young life would begin to unfold....
