Bizzy Bone: a Storee of Perseverance (Continued)

Im sick of the drama. Sick of having beef with my Mama. And beef with my sisters. My brother got murdered over marijuana.

Welcome back everyone. Let's continue where we left off.

One of my earliest lyrics was like 'And if you dont like somethin' you can go to H-E-double-hockey-sticks." Something like that. It's funny now that I think about it, because I was dead serious at the time. I thought I was edgy. It was all kiddy stuff.

After years in the foster system, Bryon would live with his sisters, and his stepfather Byron. But Bryon wanted to be with his sisters. Bryon needed to be with family. Bryon would go on to sell drugs with his sisters to get by, but even at such a young age he quickly saw the error of his ways. He witnessed the people he sold to and others suffering from the need for their next fix. Bryon didnt want to be a part of that life anymore. Bryon knew there was more for him, and he knew exactly how he was gonna do it.

He originally went by Master Fresh, at a young age he knew he was the shit. All he had to do was work for it. From the first time he picked up a pencil, Bryon knew he was destined to be a musician. Little did he know there were like minded individuals that would all be brought together by fate.

Bryon would meet the other four founding members of their group in high school. They turned their ditch spot into their session spot as they all shared a mutual love for music and began putting music together. They would drop an official demo called Faces of Death under the moniker of B.O.N.E. Enterprise. And now with an independent underground album tucked into their belts like a pistol, they all dropped out of high school to pursue their musical dreams. And the rest, was historee.

We're going to meet Eazy-E and we're going to come back to Cleveland with a record deal!

A bus trip to Los Angeles later, plus another bus back to Cleveland a few months later, and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony were officially signed to Ruthless Records. Years upon years of success would follow. A Storee that need not be told. As under the teachings of Eazy-E and his crew, Bone Thugs would release the albums Creepin On Ah Come Up and E.1999 Eternal  to massive main stream success. Albums that not only included hood anthems, thug gospels, and hip hop classics, but also a sound and delivery that blazed the trail for many of today's artists.

But it was the tragic sudden loss of Eazy-E that changed Bryon's and everyone else's life, and changed the course of each life that Eazy-E's influence reached.

And Bryon was far too familiar with loss. It was the loss of his family that caused Bryon to pick up the unhealthy, unfortunate habit of tucking pain away in a place where it won't be a bother. Not as a means to forget, but as a means to cope. And it was the loss of Eazy-E that caused a riff between the group and Ruthless Records, as well as amongst the group themselves.

After the group released The Art of War, Bryon was not present for certain promotional events, music videos, and concerts as he felt they weren't being paid fairly. The group would continue the tour without him in most cases, but most notably during the longer, overseas stretches. But Bizzy Bone wasn't done just yet.

Bizzy Bone took his struggle, his agony, and his sorrow, and turned it into triumph.

On October 6, 1998, Bizzy Bone dropped his first solo album, Heaven'z Movie. Bizzy Bone, one way or the other, was going to be heard. That's literally what he boasts over the sounds of battlecrying drums and shotgun strong strings. This album also featured the rap debut of his brother Adrian Parlette, now known as H.I.T.L.A.H. Capo Confuscious.

Videos were made for the singles Thugz Cry and Nobody Can Stop Me, videos that helped get his music out to the masses on a worldwide scale. Two very different hymns that both told storees of hunger, pain, doubt, and perseverance. Bizzy Bone's range was as vast as the notes he can hit vocally. And Bizzy Bone was now a certified solo artist capable of carrying his own brand.

Bizzy Bone would continue making music with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony as they were family and they weren't going to let money come between them. Money wasnt a thang, they just wanted to get themselves some. And they never broke up in the first place. They all just decided to pursue separate musical ventures. But they were ready to take their sound into the new millenium in the form of the album BTNHResurrection.

Things were looking up for the group again. This new album would be the first to feature all five members throughout the entire album. Bizzy Bone was gonna be in the music videos promoting the album. Bizzy Bone was gonna be on the road with the group promoting the album. Things were gonna be different this time around.

But in the blink of an eye, their comeback met with an unfortunate fate.

Flesh-N-Bone was arrested and sentenced to 12 years in prison. A harsh blow dealt to the group that was pushing to get their spot back.

And it all went downhill from there.

Old habits die hard is the saying, and once again there were disputes involving money and Bizzy Bone's absence from the group's promotional duties. And it was around this time some of Bizzy's demons were beginning to break free from the prison he had placed said demons in. And it was those same demons that gave Bizzy Bone the inspiration to release his second solo album, The Gift.
