WE'RE GOING OFF TONIGHT
TO KICK OUT EVERY LIGHT
TAKE ANYTHING WE WANT
DRINK EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!
"Sir this is a Denny's"
In that case, WHAT THE FACK IS UP DENNY'S! And waddup yall It's The Great Brown Hope coming at ya from every side. Hope here hopes you had a hell of a holiday. As we get closer to the Royal Rumble, a holiday that matters, we are making a pit stop in Inglewood California. That's right, Monday Night RAW is coming to the Clippers' state of art arena, the Intuit Dome. And it's not just any other live taping of the longest running episodic series of all time oh no no!! This time around, Monday Night RAW will be switching over and airing live from Netflix, and it's happening in a matter of days.
Early next year, January 6 to be exact, RAW will begin airing live and direct from the Netflix App. That's right, Monday Night RAW is moving to a platform with tens of millions of subscribers. And in an era where the viewership numbers aint like they was before Rick (Shane voice), this is possibly the best move the Fed could have made when negotiating this TV deal. The times have changed, no longer does everyone across the country have cable television as many have transitioned to subscribing to a variety of streaming services that suit their individual needs. Gone are the days of paying $99.99 a month to some cable company for 99 channels you'll probably never watch. And while that can be to blame for lower viewership numbers, RAW is about to be truly tested in a market where Netflix is way more attainable than having to put down a deposit for a cable box and a dial up internet modem.
RAW is going to get some huge numbers from this new venture. And while I dont see 28 million people tuning in, you can bet there will definitely be more than the usual 2 to 3 million watching on.
RAW is about to go to work and put on possibly the best version of Monday Night RAW to date. We'll be transitioning back to the 3 hour shows, and with less ads via the streaming service there is sure to be better angles, better promos, and better matches. And in order for all of that to be possible, RAW is going to need a shake up and add some new faces to its already bolstering roster. Time to bring in some fresh talent while also bringing in some established talent to put on new matches that haven't been seen to future cards. Raw is War forever and oh baby do we like it raw.
LETS GET TO IT YALL!!
BROWN'S FIVE AT 5
VOLUME 2 / ISSUE 12
FIVE NEW ADDITIONS TO RAW'S ROSTER
5. BLAIR DAVENPORT
After being drafted to Smackdown, Blair Davenport would begin feuding with Naomi in an angle that should have taken Davenport to the next level. Lost in the shuffle like some that came before her, Davenport's shine has faded before she got a real chance to show the world what she's got. While talented and skilled in the ring, Davenport possesses a knack for brutality that many fail to incorporate into their character. A true asset to any brand she competes for, Davenport could use a change of scenery. And with RAW shifting back to three hours and a first Women's Intercontinental Champion being crowned soon, there will be alot more focus on the Women's division that will now have seven Women's Championships across all three brands. And with alot more focus on the Women's divisions, there will also be a need for experienced and credible performers to help keep the card solid and interesting. Davenport to RAW gives the RAW Women's roster a stiff shot to the arm and an elbow to the back of the head for it's exactly what it needs to adapt, evolve, and excel with the times ahead.
4. ETHAN PAGE
How does it feel and how should you feel after winning the NXT Heavyweight Championship within a matter of weeks? I wouldn't know, but All Ego does. Ethan Page entered the NXT system an already experienced talent with experience in front of the lens for the world to see. Quickly adapting to WWE's style, Page has been nothing short of great during his tenure with the Fed and only continues to get better. A young talent that has already conquered the NXT mountain, there really isn't much left for Page to do on that brand. The callup for Page will come sooner rather than later and there wouldn't be a better opportunity than to pull the trigger on the Netflix premiere episode. Already having crossed paths with Punk on WWE TV, seeds were planted then and it may be time to harvest that crop real soon. Bring Page on to RAW to cut promos and run the midcard gauntlet in preparation for a midcard championship and a future program with Punk. All Ego is a character too big for developmental and will need to move up before his spark wears off and he ends up lost in the ensemble of the current crop of NXT talent on its way to the main roster.
3. SANTOS ESCOBAR (with Legado Del Fantasma)
Puro pinchi loco haciendo desmadre, Santos Escobar's time on Smackdown has been spent putting over LA Knight and helped make LA Knight's United States Heavyweight Championship run meaninful and credible. Escobar, Carrillo, and Garza are heirs to the throne of Lucha Libre's Elite and have been serviceable in boosting tag competition on the blue brand as well. But maybe now it's time to add some wins to Legado Del Fantasma's win column, and possibly a tag championship as well for their service to the craft. A shift to the red brand would put Santos in a different division of competition that will guide Legado Del Fantasma to the promised land. And with a Judgment Day breakup on the horizon, it wouldn't hurt to add Dominik Mysterio to their ranks, as well as bringing home Cruz Del Toro or Joaquin Wilde as their time with LWO has done nothing for their careers. Santos and crew arrive in Inglewood and send Rey Mysterio and his little group of fanboys off to Smackdown, cementing their status as the Elite Latino stable of Monday Night RAW.
Es-Co-Bar Si!
2. BLOODLINE2.0
Solo Sikoa is about to take on Roman Reigns in Tribal Combat in what may possibly the final chapter in the Bloodline vs Bloodline saga. Smackdown will need some big names to carry the brand on the USA Network for three hours a week and they're going to need Roman Reigns to keep some of their faithful viewers around. Solo Sikoa will without a doubt fall to Our Tribal Chief Roman Reigns and will be chased off the blue brand along with his band of goons. Solo and his loyalists will move to the red brand, where they will run amuck with their four members going after tag and singles gold, all while waiting for the return of The Bloodline2.0's Bronson Reed before they finally assert dominance over the RAW roster. I dont care what anyone says, Bronson Reed is part of the Bloodline. Never once were they announced as "The Bloodline and Bronson Reed", Reed's name was always part of the entire, formal Bloodline2.0 intros. Bloodline2.0 will surely go after Jey Uso as long as he remains on RAW and will always be tied into any and every story line Jey becomes involved in until we get Main Event Jey Uso vs Solo Sikoa in Tribal Combat. And with Solo Sikoa coming into his own, I can truly say I acknowledge Solo Sikoa as well, and I can truly say Solo's main event run is just getting started.
1. GALLUS
I've been saying it. Bah gawd i've been saying it! It's been long overdue but we may finally get Dem Gallus Boys on Monday Night RAW. Dem Gallus Boys are part of an elite alumni from a class of NXT UK talent that has prospered into Champions, including but not limited to The Grizzled Young Veterans, Rhea Ripley, Toni Storm, Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, Giovanni Vinci, Pretty Deadly, Tyler Bate, Trent Seven, Noam Dar, Pete Dunne, Charley Dempsey, Ilja Dragunov, JD McDonagh, Oro Mensah, Alba Fyre, and Isla Dawn. Go back and watch their work in NXT UK and you'll see the flashes of greatness that showed in their progression, especially their feud with the OG Imperium.
Gallus has dominated in NXTUK and NXT, having attained gold in the form of the NXTUK Tag Team Championships and the NXT Tag Team Championships. Reliable and ruthless, Gallus has been a team that has kept together the NXT tag team scene and have been the measuring stick for teams transitioning to the main roster. Gallus is the perfect trio that has been built as a brute force not to be messed with. Their hard hitting offense, old school viciousness, and traditional ring awareness are the tools necessary to be a succesful stable ready for warfare in the land of the stars. Brothers til the end, their loyalty to one another will never be tested and will be the driving force behind their rise to success on the main roster. Gallus has more than paid their dues waiting for the call to suit up for the bigger lights.
A decorated stable destined for greatness, Gallus will prosper in feuds with other stables and teams on the brand giving us new, fresh, and unique tag matches. Drew McIntyre needs some backup going up against Jey and his friends, and for what feels like years I have been saying how well Gallus would transition to the main roster in Drew's corner as they are all equally as badass and intimidating. Complete the hat trick and put the RAW tag belts on Gallus immediately and let em run loose on an absolutely stacked RAW tag team division. Dem Gallus Boys are the cream of the crop, and after seemingly being written off NXT TV recently, the time is most certainly now. Gallus Boys On Top, bitch.
