BROWN'S FIVE AT 5 / Vol.2, Issue 13: SURPRISE, SURPRISE ii

Updated: 18 hours ago

What's good everybody, it's a new year but same ol' me. I aint even gonna lie. But what I will tell you is we never stop working. We never stop grinding. We never stop growing. Keep doing you pimp juice, I see you thriving. Get yours.

With that said, it's finally here yall. 'Tis the most wonderful time of the year. We're going into overdrive on the Road to WrestleMania, and the first stop is the 2025 Royal Rumble.

Turn up the lights in here baybay cause it's about to go down. In less than a month's time the Fed will host it's annual Battle Royale of Battle of Royales, the Royal Rumble. Multiple storylines will collide, multiple competitors will fall, but only TWO can rise above them all and officially stamp their names on the WrestleMania 41 card. And with both the Men's and Women's roster being incredibly stacked, this year's set of Rumble matches will be loaded with star power and credible competitors. Former World Champions will enter the match to regain their spot at the top that they once held. Superstars who haven't carried Heavyweight gold will be fighting to make a name for themselves. There is a shift in the Fed coming with more than plenty of talent to take all three brands to the next level. And with such a stacked and loaded roster, it won't be a difficult task to fill the remaining slots available after numerous Superstars have already declared themselves for the match.

And with the Royal Rumble comes another tradition that elevates the matches' prestige and aura. From Drew Carey to Mighty Molly, from Right to Censor Ivory to Hacksaw Jim Duggan, you never know what you'll get in terms of a surprise entrant. Could be someone famous that has nothing to do with wrestling, to a famous recording artist that loves everything about wrestling. It could be Booker T making a surprise return to take on The New Nexus. The element of surprise is what makes the Royal Rumble truly special and unique. Sure knowing who will enter helps get you hyped, but cmon, it's the Royal Rumble, we're gonna be hyped no matter what. I'm gonna cut this one short and get straight to it cause then i'll just go on about this forever, DJ HIT THE MUSIC.

LETS GET TO IT YALL!!

BROWN'S FIVE AT 5

VOLUME 2 / ISSUE 13

FIVE SURPRISE ENTRANTS FOR THE 2025 ROYAL RUMBLE MATCHES

HONORABLE MENTION:

ON THE MARK WRESTLING PODCAST

Word on the street is Dem OTM boys will be at the Royal Rumble. The Original OTM itself will be in the crowd in attendance for the show and that's all I'm allowed to say. Whether or not they'll be involved with Out The Mud remains to be seen, but best believe they'll be there to claim what is rightfully theirs. Too Sweet my bros if you see em at the Rumble and check out, and subscribe, to their weekly podcast. Or else.

5.TOM ASPINALL

Ever since WWE became part of the TKO umbrella, UFC stars have occassionally been shown, and acknowledged, in the stands of live tv airings, something that was never done before under the McMahon Regime. WWE and UFC will surely one day have an inter-talent relationship via future events and matches, but that's another storee for another day. This year's Royal Rumble could very well be the first time we see a current UFC star enter the Royal Rumble. Alot of today's WWE talent has had to do the stiff work and will have no problem hanging and mixing it up with the UFC stars. What better way for the UFC brand to make it's presence known than by having one of their champions enter the Royal Rumble. Tom Aspinall gets his name called and rushes the ring and shines as he tussles with talent like Shinsuke Nakamura, Tommaso Ciampa, and Ilja Dragunov, just to name a few. Aspinall has already shared the ring with Gunther and Cody Rhodes and has made his intentions known to one day join the Fed in in-ring competition. Aspinall gets a chance to shine and get his hands dirty and falls in love with the bigger, brighter lights (ALL OF THE LIGHTS!) that shine upon the squared circle.

4.VANESSA HUDGENS

Vanessa Hudgens has been all over WWE television and social media as of late and has been very vocal about her fandom for the brand. A now regular attendee of WWE programming, Hudgens is a fan just like us and I'd be willing to bet she's already toyed with the idea of one day becoming a WWE Superstar herself. A Superstar in her own right, Hudgens carries more than enough star power to make an instant impact once she is announced as a surprise entrant. Baby V hits the ring to massive uproar along with approval from the women in the match. Hudgens enters the match and shares a dance and moment with Bianca Belair as they both swing their braids only for Hudgens to pull a fast one and eliminate Belair from the match. A fuming Bianca Belair will then spend the rest of February running through the crowds looking for Vanessa Hudgens in the stands to get her revenge. Bianca Belair vs Vanessa Hudgens at WrestleMania, book it.

3.SIMON MILLER

Why Simon Miller?....HERE'S WHY!

No one, and THE GREAT BROWN HOPE MEANS NO ONE, gets pro wrestling like Simon Miller. Miller just gets it and is a Goofy Wrestling For Life-er that continues to spread the good word of the sport of professional wrestling. As charismatic as he is entertaining, Simon Miller is no stranger to the canvas and only continues to improve as fast as his popularity rises. Miller gets the sport and he gets the fan base as he always keeps his ear to the wrestling streets. The current Proteus Champion of Progress Wrestling, Miller has already appeared in TNA and AEW and is surely bound to one day join the Fed. It's time Trips throws Miller a bone in the form of a Royal Rumble appearance among the Superstars he praises on what is practically a daily basis. Miller remains true to his fans, the same fans who week in and week out hold up signs at WWE events in hopes that Simon Miller spots said signs and gives em an Up. Simon Miller enters the Royal Rumble to thunderous applause as he has finally made it to the big time. And to be honest, Simon Miller and his Finger of Power going up against Solo Sikoa and his Samoan Spike will be a battle for the ages. Two plus two equals potato, the math only makes sense, Miller for the 2025 Royal Rumble.

2.SCOTTY 2 HOTTY

Can you believe it's been 25 years since the 2000 Royal Rumble? You know, that Rumble that had Too Cool bustin a move in the middle of the Royal Rumble match?!

You 'member, you 'membeeerr *George Lopez voice

That's right, 25 years ago Too Cool would all enter the match early on and take a moment to entertain the masses. Too Cool wasn't always over, but their earlier moments like these truly helped make them a staple in the WWE Tag Team division for years to come. And now 25 years later, Scotty 2 Hotty enters the match to give us one last moment, trusty lid and all, and shares the ring, and dances, with Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Sami Zayn just like Too Cool used to. 25 years later, paying tribute to the greatness that took Too Cool and Rikishi to the promised land and paying tribute to Grandmaster Sexay.

Oh, and technically Scotty 2 Hotty won the 2005 Royal Rumble, 20 years ago. Scotty 2 Hotty was never eliminated. Who were the last two eliminated? Batista and John Cena. Facts only.

Too Cool, Forever.

1.AJ LEE

It's a been a long time since she came around. It's been a long time, but she's back in town. Not having appeared in WWE television for almost a decade, AJ Lee's name has been mentioned a whole lot more recently than any other time during her time away from the Fed. While still not currently signed to the WWE, AJ Lee has been someone that the WWE fanbase has been waiting for a return from. And with CM Punk seemingly on good terms with the powers that be, it wouldn't be a longshot to expect a return from AJ sooner than later. As a huge fan of hers, I would honestly lose it if her entrance music played at the Royal Rumble, but I wouldn't be surprised. It's been a long time coming.

The influenced eventually become the influencers, and it's been known that the newer generation of female talent has acknowledged AJ Lee as an influence of theirs. AJ Lee is a natural athlete and will have no issues adapting to the fresh talent on the roster. Let's Light It Up again like old times as if she never left, and hopefully she stays this time. Here's to hoping she skips down the ramp in her Chuck Taylors one more time and steals all of our collective hearts all over again.
