(TGBH) Ayo, what’s hood everybody! We’re literally hours away from WrestleMania, and it’s finally settling in. It’s here. The event for all the marbles. Game 7 of a finals series that has been stretched into a two-night event, like the two-part finale of a famous novel series. It is what it is hoe, whats up? People over there will stand up if they feel me.
(PCM) I don’t mind two-night events for the big four. Perhaps we are on that way soon. The big story for this WM is not only the ticket prices, not only Sid being put in the legacy wing, and not an actual induction, but why are so many people not on the show? People who are not injured who had big parts last year. I get that not everyone can be on it, but some were on RAW on Monday. Anyway, on with the predictions.
(DSS) It’s time for Night 2 predictions, and I’m hoping the night will be as good as Night 1 looks to be. I don’t know if it can be, when Night 1 was blessed with Liv Morgan and Night 2 is cursed with Sami Zayn holding a title he doesn’t deserve. There are some big names missing from this Mania, and I only hope the matches we get are worth it. Honestly, they should have swapped the two cards because I care more about some of the first night cards than almost all of Night Two.
(IG) As the great Mr. Cub once said, “Let’s play two!” We’re onto Night 2, y’all. You may or may not be reading this following the conclusion of Night 1. And if so, that stunk… or that was great! I’ll be honest, I’m looking forward to two matches for the second night of Mania, and they’re easy to guess…
(TGBH) Pimpin ain't easy like Ice-T at WrestleMania 2000 in California. Muhammad Hassan should have been in the inaugural Money in the Bank ladder match. There is so much more, but there is no more to waste, so let’s get to it….post haste!!
PreGame w/bWo:
Wrestlemania 42 / Night 2
Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi

(PCM) Now this is a big man match I can get behind. Ever see rams in the wild headbutt each other? I am getting that vibe here. To be fair, this is the closest Brock has been in the ring with someone with the raw power he has. There have been plans to make Oba the big thing, and there is no reason to wait. Pull the trigger. Anything other than Oba winning makes no sense.
(IG) You guessed it, this was one of those matches I was most looking forward to. Arguable main event for Night 1, which will be slotted in as the opening match for Night 2. Who's to blame them, really? We probably are going to get a 5-minute BMMBM match. But by gahd, a win for Oba would be monumental for the young star. Oba Femi is a legit future top guy for the WWE. A fumble with this man would be on a Keith Lee or Swerve Strickland level (sorry to open up old wounds). Brock will never be hurt by a loss… ever. Until Summerslam, that is…because… then I guess his career would probably be over. Which would technically kill Lesnar’s career…

Ladder Match
Penta(c) vs. Je’Von Evans vs. JD McDonagh vs. Dragon Lee vs. Rusev vs. Rey Mysterio

(DSS) Here we go, the most random ass ladder match we could have been given. Rusev made the cut, and I guess that could be forgivable even though I couldn't care less about him. The worst offender is Deadbeat Dad Rey Mysterio, taking up a spot I thought would go to Vikingo, or any other AAA talent. There’s still time to throw someone else into this match to make up for the dead weight Mysterio is bringing to the table. Let’s see something unexpected come out of this, and put the strap on Je’Von while he’s still young. It’s time to build new talent up, and the reset we get with Mania is the perfect time. If Rey even gets a sniff of the title in this match, I’ll fly out to retire him myself—Gunther won’t even get a chance.
(TGBH) Mysterio being in this match is like Ric Flair being in the second Money in the Bank Match at WM22. Don't expect Rey to do anything crazy here, he’ll prob float around without any clue what to do, or cause he can't keep up. I hope Rusev gets to throw his weight around here and gets rid of Mysterio early as an example. Evans will have a star-making performance, again, in front of the biggest crowd he’s ever seen. Dragon “I Cosplay as Rey Mysterio Every Day” Lee will likely spend time trying to help Rey not get outnumbered. I’m rooting for my boy Jordan Devlin McDonagh to walk away with some much-deserved singles gold here, but I never get what I want. Maybe just this once.

The Demon Finn Balor vs. Dirty Dominik Mysterio

(IG) Finally, we're at the cusp of this dang feud (hopefully). It genuinely feels as though we’ve been watching this feud play out for years, because we technically have been. The Judgement Day was in dire need of a refresh. Did they wait a little too long to get here? YES. But, we at least get to see the Demon back out of retirement to have what is sure to be a contender for match of the night. And if there’s any way to tug at my wrestling heartstrings, it's a quality pro wrestling match. I say let Dirty Dom have his first huge victory at Wrestlemania. The kid is obviously going to be a top heel in no time. Not exactly sure where that would leave Finn, but it would put him in a spot to distance himself from the JD for some time.
(DSS) If Liv Morgan vs. Stephanie Vaquer doesn’t get my match of the weekend, then this one does. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen The Demon in action, and the fact that Dominik Mysterio is the man to bring it back out is incredible. It’s been almost three years since he was last seen, and it was to try and send Edge to hell and cement the Judgment Day’s domination. WWE made the absolutely moronic call to give Edge the win. The Demon losing that match was unforgivable, and I’m still not over it. With that said, the Demon won’t be standing tall at the end of this once. Dirty Daddy Dom, AAA Mega Champion, Greatest Mysterio of All Time, is the one true star that has the ability to slay The Demon. This is a match I wish Finn could win, because I’m a huge fan, but Dominik Mysterio is the future of the business, and on his way to a World Championship. That all starts at WrestleMania. That all starts with a win over The Demon.

Sami Zayn(c) vs. Trick Williams

(PCM) Why isn’t this Trick vs. Melo? This was the moment for that. Let those two men go at it. Let them have the WM moment they deserve. But, hey, what do I know? I thought this was the year we got all the new faces on Wrestlemania. Guess not. Anyway, Trick deserves this. Let him have the moment Sami has already had.
(TGBH) Why? Seriously, why?! YOU HAD MELO VS TRICK RIGHT THERE! IT WAS WITHIN REACH!! BUT NOOOOOO. Sami Zayn gets yet another title reign for who knows what reason and takes the gold off one of the hottest talents in the game today. Zayn just had to be a part of Trick Williams’ star-making moment, almost like Rey Mysterio taking opportunities from other prospective Luchadores. Trick Williams is a superstar with an aura that continues to shine brighter and brighter every time he makes an entrance. And with his family in attendance for his first WrestleMania, a star will be born this Sunday.

WWE Women’s Championship Match
Jade Cargill(c) vs. Rhea Ripley

(IG) This is a huge opportunity for Jade to prove herself, not only as a champion, but as the big star that she CAN be. Overall, I’m not that excited for this match at all. But it’s Rhea Ripley in a Mania match. That’s like Tom Brady in the Super Bowl. When the lights shine brightest, Ripley pulls out an all-time match on the biggest stage of them all. That’s where the importance of Jade being in this match comes in. She needs to prove to the Vegas crowd that she can go in the ring. Everyone knows that she has the look and the mannerisms of a top dog in the women’s division, but now is the time to prove the in-ring ability. If she does that, this match is a huge help for Jade Cargill’s stock, win or lose.
(TGBH) Jade Cargill on the PR tour has done wonders for the brands. She looks like a star, talks like a star, carries herself like a star. And even though folks haven’t warmed up to her as such, they will in due time. For now, we are witnesses to her first reign at the top, and Rhea Ripley is the measuring stick. Can Cargill hang with Ripley in the ring? Probably not with the graps, but if they scrap with power moves, then neither really has the upper hand there. Not a lot of folks are looking forward to this one, but I’d be lying if I said I'm not. Cargill gets a big win here to add to her resume.
(PCM) I am sorry, we need to end the Jade experiment. Sent her to NXT or Evolve. This is not it. She has shown a lack of improvement from a year ago. And if it is to be believed, her attitude is even worse. Gonna say it now, B-Fab has improved more because you can tell she wants it and is going out to try to get better. Let Mami have this and wipe the slate clean.
(DSS) The (Worst) Feud of the Year is here. Jade and Rhea have had an absolutely horrible build to this match, and I honestly couldn’t care less. I would say Bianca being out for a year really derailed the plans for Jade, but I think Jade did that to herself. She still doesn’t seem to be at the level she should be after two years of being highly featured. She should be a dominant champion. She should be a powerhouse who can run through the roster. But at this point, her best matches have come with Tiffany Stratton, and other than that, she’s been stuck with just B-Fab and Michin until Rhea was thrown into this mix. Rhea can work with anyone, but this feud with Jade has been a dud, and I don’t think that’s on Rhea… I don’t see Jade keeping the title any longer, and Rhea can do a lot more with the roster.

CM Punk(c) vs. Roman Reigns

(DSS) This is the worst main event I could imagine. The guy who didn’t need a Royal Rumble win and Pepsi Phil. Another WrestleMania headlined by a part-time player taking up someone else’s spot. The Royal Rumble field was wide open, and literally anyone would have made sense as a winner. Logan Paul coming in at the end and winning would have made sense. Instead, Roman won so that we can run back him and CM Punk without the triple threat stipulation. I don’t know that we needed this match, and you can only do so much when Punk is the only one regularly on TV. And it’s a whole different conversation that the champions and their opponents aren’t wrestling at all,l leading up to these events. I don’t know that I even care who wins this meaningless main event, but I’m sure Roman will walk out with the title. I don’t even mind Punk’s full-size main event being spoiled. But if Roman walks out with the title, he'd better show up regularly with it to actually be a champion going forward. Otherwise, maybe Logan Paul should have been the champ.
(PCM) Not gonna lie, I am looking forward to this match more than most. Is it what we needed? No. But no Pat or Jelly here. The promos have been on point, no shocker there. Plus, Roman has wiped away the Super Roman stain. But I am looking into the future. Roman is not around as much lately. Plus, like Cody, Street Fighter is coming out. You know he is gonna do press for it. Let Punk have the moment he rightfully deserves, and then we can go see Street Fighter.
(TGBH) This match has roots that stem from more than a decade. And as personal as they made it, The Usos are fighting The Vision 3.4176 instead of being in Roman’s corner. Punk talking shit on bum ass Pat McAfee was great and all, but for what? Now we’ll prob get more shenanigans than necessary for this one, like McAfee showing up if Orton loses. Where we go from here is the real question. Cause who challenges either of these guys after the night ends? Rollins? Gunther? Solo Sikoa? The Repo Man? There are so many questions. I don’t think we’ll get a WWE Avengers-like ending for this one, and we definitely won't get someone in a black hood to help Roman, right? checks calendar for indy events in Vegas the same weekend. Maybe? Either way, the finish won’t be a clean one, but I expect my Tribal Chief to reign supreme again.
☝🏾
(IG) Again, another main event that doesn’t feel like the end to a huge Mania feud. It’s not that the promos have been bad or anything; it’s just that there are still so many questions to be answered between these two. I just hope we get to see Roman actually on our televisions more frequently, ESPECIALLY if he wins the title. The dude has had a big return every 3 months, it feels like. But this feels like the perfect time for Punk to drop the title and rekindle his more aggressive character.
