a Man on Fire

and it burns, burns, burns

(December 15, 2023 - The Great Brown Hope)

Welcome all who enter! We are gathered here today for yet another installment of "Storee Time with The Great Brown Hope"!

Y'all remember The Streak right?

Of course you do. Even your stepmother remembers The Streak.

The Undertaker went the unplanned 21 miles and got to 21-0 in what became one of the greatest streaks in sports entertainment. Once The Streak became a thing everyone wanted to be the one to lay the Deadman down at Wrestlemania. Many tried, they all failed. Some more than others (I'm looking at you Hunter).

That's right. Triple H got Triple the attempts and failed every single time.

Shawn Michaels even got two tries at it and lost his mind in the process.

But we all know Lesnar ended up breaking The Streak. Some agree, more disagree with the decision to give Lesnar the accomplishment of such a feat.

I for one always felt there was only one person who DESERVED to break The Undertaker's streak....

Kane

Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and a horrible tempest, this shall be the portion of their cup.

Through hellfire and brimstone, that's gotta be Kane right? Of course it is! WHAT ARE YOU BLIND? JEEEEEZUS!!

Kane made his debut in 1997 and was a dependable journeyman throughout his tenure with World Wrestling Entertainment. He was a fixture on regular television and payperviews slash premiumliveevents, along with quite an impressive list of accolades.

3x World Champion (WWF, WHC, ECW)

12x World Tag Team Champion (various titles w/various partners)

2x Intercontinental Champion

Hardcore Champion

Money in the Bank winner

24/7 Champion

3rd Grand Slam Champion

Most All Time Royal Rumble Eliminations (45)

WWE Hall of Famer (Class of 2021)

If you ask me, Kane should have won the Royal Rumble in 2001. But then again that's another Storee for another day ese.

Kane got two cracks at The Streak, and lost both times.

Once at Wrestlemania XIV

Once at Wrestlemania XX

I always felt Kane never got his due for his years of service, consistency, and loyalty. No one, besides me, ever talks about his previous runs with any major championship. Well, I guess people remember the WWE Title run of 1 day but whatever, haters gon hate and congratulaters gon congratulate.

When Punk lost to Undertaker, I wanted it to be Kane to get one more go with The Walking Dead-man on the grandest stage of them all.

Kane never had that one defining moment. That one moment he deserved for everything he gave to the Fed. I couldn't think of a better way to say "Thank You" than by having Kane be the One in 21-1. The glory in taking down not only his kayfabe brother but also his greatest rival and greatest partner. The cosmic justice of Undertaker handing over his yard to the only man worthy of carrying such a burden. The sheer validation of conquering one of sport entertainment's greatest obstacles.

Kane vs Undertaker III would have been awesome. Kane should have been the one to break the streak.
