CM PUNK IS BACK
they said it couldn't happen.
they said it wouldn't happen.
they said it shouldn't happen.
they guaranteed it won't happen.
It's poetic really. (see what i did there?)
Punk had a great run in AEW that didn't work out in the end. To each fan their own as to how they feel it all went down. But today is about CM Punk RETURNING to the WWE.
WELCOME to a variation of Storee Time with The Great Brown Hope that will be known to those that are keeping up as Brown's Five at 5. For those from the Los Angeles and surrounding areas of California, a radio broadcaster by the name of Tito had a show known as Tito's Top Four at 4. So every now and then you may see a random Tito name drop in these posts.
CM Punk returning last week was such a huge moment everyone else was gonna be talking about so we gave Storee Time with The Great Brown Hope the day off last Monday so it didnt become a tumbleweed lost at sea due the shuffle of various posts throughout the webernet.

FIVE POTENTIAL FEUDS FOR CM PUNK
disclaimer: we aren't including Drew, Seth, or Roman in this list as they are obviously on the horizon
5.GRAYSON WALLER
CM Punk is coming to Smackdown this Friday. Why not have Waller come out first and invite CM Punk onto his talk show. Waller attempts to throw jabs at Punk in vintage Waller fashion. Punk isn't a fan of weak jabs he's already responded to. They throw jabs verbally back and forth until they eventually throw jabs physically. Would make for a good first match to help Punk shake off any cobwebs whilst giving Waller another main eventer rub to add to his resume.
4.DENLAN MCMAHON
Sooner or later, Denlan is coming to the Fed. It is his destiny (sit your ass down Alberto Del Rio). Vince McMahon is no longer in control of his baby. The company and legacy he created is no longer his. Had he still had a say or any influence on the attempt to re-hire Punk, I believe Punk would not have signed. And now that Vince has been kindly (legally) asked to leave, they gladly opened their doors to CM Punk.
Vince sends his grandson Denlan to defend his honor. When Punk least expects it without ever suspecting Denlan is coming for him, Denlan comes out and Spears CM Punk with the Spear Heard Round The World. He stands up, holds up Punk's title and shows the words on his shirt that read "WRESTLING'S ONLY ROYAL FAMILY". A new star has arrived.
3.DIJAK
Everyone KNOWS i love this new and improved Dijak. This is the type of character that is made for sports entertainment. The guy doesnt slack in the ring. He has shown alot of improvement from his already impressive, earlier days in NXT. Dijak is the designated gatekeeper to the next level of the current NXT ranks. With everyone from Cody to Undertaker making the rounds at NXT, get Punk's agent on the horn to make a scheduled appearance at NXT. Dijak screams in Punk's face that NXT is his domain and Punk is trespassing. That match can main event any NXT PLE or NXT Tuesday Special that isn't a "regular episode". Even in defeat, Dijak continues to hold down the fort in a convincing, consistent manner.
2.GUNTHER
One Monday soon, two days removed from Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion Gunther having defeated yet another unworthy challenger, Gunther will confront CM Punk. Gunther will remind Punk that he has made everyone's Intercontinental Championship reign completely irrelevant. No one cares and no one remembers that CM Punk was once an Intercontinental Champion because Punk was not worthy of carrying the title. He brings up to Punk that while Punk has been gone from WWE, he held the WWE NXT United Kingdom Heavyweight Championship for 870 consecutice days. And he has now been WWE Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion for X amount of days.
Gunther and Punk main event two straight PLE's for the belt and Gunther wins both adding another former WWE Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion to his list of fallen foes.
1.KOFI KINGSTON
ES OH ES
Punk is celebrating his newly won WWE Championship (either Roman or Seth's idfk). Chicago Made Punk makes his victory speech. He thanks everyone, including Vince and Tony, as streamers begin to fly. A familiar, never forgotten tune hits the giant speakers:
Kofi makes his way out and congratulates Punk. He asks Phil, yes he says Phil, how he's been these last few years? Phil now looks confused.
Kofi says he hasn't heard from Punk in a LONG time. Such a long time that in that span of time Kofi achieved his dream. Kofi brings up Kofimania and how Punk wasnt there to congratulate him. As well as everything he went through while Punk was gone. How he defended his title and conquered and defeated Randy Orton, the man who held him back in the first place. All the times he sucked it up and kept his head up because at the end of the day it was what he loved to do. When the fans didnt immediately embrace The New Day they didnt hold the company hostage for more mic time or main event matches. Kofi and his brothers became one of the greatest tag teams of all time.
Kofi tells Punk to take a seat cause he's gonna take him on a trip down memory lane. A little less than a month before Punk returned was the 15th anniversary of the time two kids from WWECW won the tag team titles together. Did Punk make any mention to that or call Kofi and be like a ha ha el oh el good times amirite? No. Punk forgot about Kofi.
Punk, with a saddened look on his face, mouths the words Im sorry and wants to hug Kofi. Kofi shakes his head and hits Punk with a STIFF Trouble in Paradise.
The roof is blown off the building from the strength of the vocal disapproval of ALL in attendance.
Woods and Big E run down and stand beside their brother in support over the man that forgot how dangerous Kofi Kingston can be.
