BROWN'S FIVE AT 5 / Issue 2: MARIAH MAY

Buenas tardes my fellow fanatics of professional wrestling! It's Monday and there's wrestling on tonight if I have my days in order. Hell, there's wrestling on every day of the week now at all times of the day.

I now have a reason to tune into AEW alot more often.

AEW's newest signee...

MARIAH MAY

For those who are not yet familiar (shame on you), Mariah May officially signed with AEW after a run with Stardom where she held the Goddess of Stardom Championship with Mina Shirakawa, both being members of Club Venus.

Mariah May would have her last match on September 30, losing against Hanan. She cried as she cut a farewell promo in Japanese thanking everyone and saying goodbye as she was on her way out of Stardom.

Mariah made her official (no Adam Pearce) in ring debut on the January 3 episode of AEW Dynamite picking up an impressive victory against Queen Aminata. As of today she is still undefeated! Hell Yes!!

The clock just hit 5PM somewhere, let's get to it yall

BROWN'S FIVE AT 5 ISSUE 2

FIVE POTENTIAL FEUDS FOR MARIAH MAY

5.MARINA SHAFIR

Mariah has to move up the ranks and I feel like Marina Shafir is a good candidate to give her a tough battle. A blend of two different styles and tactics as well two completely different personas. This one would be an ass kicking contest. No one leaves til one knocks the other out. Who wouldn't wanna watch a match like that? Mariah's gotta add some names to her belt and Marina Shafir's name has some weight to it.

4.MERCEDES MARTINEZ

Speaking of ass kicking, name taking contests.... This one's got a nice aura to it. Mercedes Martinez is a certified badass who is an athlete of an extreme caliber. She continues to prove herself as a reliable journeywoman in this sport having performed for various promotions. For Mariah to add Mercedes to her list of fallen foes would be a feat worthy of leveling up to the next tier of AEW's Women's Division.

Oh, and fun fact. They both got their first AEW victories against Queen Aminata!

3.THUNDER ROSA

Oh yeah, the names get bigger the higher we go up this list. And who is more Elite in the Land of All Elite than Thunder Rosa? Mariah May has the potential to be a huge centerpiece for AEW's Women's Division. And to make a star (although she already is) you gotta beat the stars. And what bigger star for Mariah May to conquer to be able to fly among the bigger names in female wrestling. Mariah May vs. Thunder Rosa duking it out for respect is enough to make this a feud to watch. Let them slap each other til the other passes out.

2.SERENA DEEB

Serena is one of my top 5 all time favorite female talents (Booker T voice). A former NWA Worlds Women's Champion, Serena Deeb is a bonafide veteran with the skills to make anyone look good in the ring. Serena Deeb would be the perfect transition match that gets Mariah May into the AEW Women's World Champion picture, and keeps her there too. Not to mention I always enjoy matches more when I can't decide who to root for or who I'd want to win more.

1.TONI STORM

I mean, it's bound to happen right? AEW needs to build new stars. AEW has one of their rising stars in Toni Storm and she will continue to do so. Parallel to Toni will be Mariah picking up wins towards an eventual clash with Toni for the AEW Women's World Championship. Even in defeat Mariah May would gain access to the Main Eventers Club becoming a formidable contender for any Women's Championship.

Mariah May is already a star. She just needs a championship.

Thanks for reading y'all!! Got more to come in the coming days as well as exclusive sticker drops for yall. Hasta luego.
