This blog is dedicated to the memory of
The Gingerbread Man

(TGBH) Yooooooooo what the fack is up yall! I know it’s been a while since you’ve seen your favorite predictions crew come together. After Mania I decided we should take a little break cause for the month of May we are rolling our about five of these bad boys. So all twelve of our loyal readers, rejoice! For the boys are back in the saddle!
(PCM) Kind of a somber post with all of the releases. Will I always follow WWE? Sure, have been for decades. But the normal fans don’t matter anymore, clearly. Eventually it will bottom out. But enough of my soapbox for now, on with the show
(DSS) Hey guys, it’s been a while. My personal life has kicked the blogs to the back burner for a minute, but you best believe I’ve stayed caught up on my WWE and I’m ready for Backlash.
(IG) Wait… GBH hasn’t turned heel, hit me with a stunner, and kicked me out of the BWO yet? Whew... It’s been a minute y’all, but it’s time to talk about one of my top 3 favorite wrestling companies again! Because, “...at Backlash…” (iykyk)

(TGBH) If you can't smell what the bWo is cooking, you may need to get your sinuses checked out. With that said, grab a drink and a plate and let’s get to it yall!!
PreGame w/bWo:
BackLash 2026
Iyo Sky vs. Asuka

(DSS) Oh this is just the perfect match to make the card. Instead of properly finishing out the storyline at Mania, we’re continuing the story that will never have a true ending since WWE and Kairi Sane parted ways. Now we’re stuck with Iyo vs. Asuka as one of the stories that have been damn near played out, and we don’t even get the comedic “KAIRI!” This match didn’t even get any build during the last Raw. At any rate, there is absolutely no reason for best girl Iyo to lose this match. She should be in the main event. She should have been at WrestleMania. And she absolutely should beat Asuka and move on to bigger and better things.
Darkstar Shady’s Pick:
Iyo Sky via Pinfall
Ian G’s Pick:
Iyo Sky via Pinfall
The Great Brown Hope’s Pick:
Asuka via Pinfall
PaperClip Mike’s Pick:

Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker

(PCM) We are getting the match we were supposed to get, but a month early. If you were to ask me who would have won at WM, Breaker would have been my choice. But to me, it makes no sense now. Rollins needs something big after coming off his loss to Gunther. But at the same time, Breakker needs something since his injury derailed him. Look for Rollins to pick up the win here, and Bron to get it back later on down the road.
PaperClip Mike’s Pick:
Seth Rollins via Pinfall

Bron Breakker via Pinfall

US Heavyweight Championship Match
Trick Williams(c) vs. Sami Zayn

(TGBH) I said on this week’s episode of Kayfabe Coffee, which you can check out every Tuesday morning on your Main Event Wrestling Network youtube channel, that Trick Daddy Dollas Williams is a certified Star. Whilst you can put anyone in Sami Zayn’s position, it’s good to see Zayn get some losses so he actually has something to complain about. Zayn’s ultimate crime has gone unpunished but will not be forgotten. Zayn murdered the Gingerbread because he was jealous that the people wanted to see the Gingerbread Man and not Zayn. Williams will avenge our fallen comrade with a victory. Keep Williams on the winning track cause we got ourselves a once in a lifetime talent with this man.
(DSS) I know, I know…This is The Great Brown Hope’s match to predict but he gave me the green light to come in and talk shit on Sami Zayn. Sami does not need this title shot. He doesn’t deserve it. He just killed the fucking Gingerbread Man, for one! And instead of jail time for his vicious murder, he is being rewarded for these actions. Mr. Whoop That better be bringing his best to knock Sami “Why are the fans booing me?” Zayn on his ass and leave him there. Let Trick move on to his eventual feud with Melo and leave Sami in the dust where he belongs. He can keep coming out looking for his “ride or die” amidst the boos from the fans that are sick of his wounded puppy dog persona. You’ve had your midcard title reigns. You’ve failed at your world title shots. Move on Sami.
The Great Brown Hope’s Pick:
Trick Williams via Pinfall

Trick Willy via Pinfall
Ian G’s Pick:
Sami Zayn via Pinfall
Danhausen and ??? vs. MizKit

(IG) When I say what I’m about to say, I mean it in the most complimentary way possible… This story feels like something we were seeing in the WWE during the late 2010’s. Pure stupid comedy. And I love it. Nowadays, these types of feuds feel refreshing, as compared to the deeply personal feuds we are usually seeing in today’s wrestling. And I’ll be honest, I wasn’t a huge believer in Danhausen working in today’s WWE, but man was I wrong. The idea that matches and storylines are influenced by the backstage curses is incredible. Adding in the likes of the Miz, who is notorious at fully committing to comedy storylines, and you have yourself some extremely entertaining television. I think we will see a victorious Danhausen and R-Truth at Backlash.
Ian G’s Pick:
Danhausen and R-Truth via Pinfall
The Great Brown Hope’s Pick:
Danhausen and Omos via Pinfall
PaperClip Mike’s Pick:
Team Mysteryhausen via Pinfall
Darkstar Shady’s Pick:
Danhausen and Johnny Gargano via Pinfall
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match
Roman Reigns(c) vs. Jacob Fatu

(TGBH) Our Tribal Chief is now the holder of the championship that was invented cause none of the B+ players could beat him. I love to see it. I went from booing the Big Dog to ACKNOWLEDGING Our Tribal Chief. With Cena holding the records for most wins and Randy prob not reaching it, i am willing to bet the fed will push Roman Reigns to crush Cena’s record in a few years. And with that said, now wouldn’t be a bad time to pull the trigger on a Jacob Fatu title reign. The seeds have been planted of a storee that says Roman has become a bad influence on the family like Jey and Solo. Those times other members of their respective teams told em “you sound like Roman” weren’t for nothing. Fatu wants the crown, and if he can convince his family to join his cause he will have this Saturday.
(PCM) What are we even doing here? You lost what were likely lifers by lowballing them, and now they seem to be doing the same with the world champion, who may take a break, as he is allegedly not scheduled at all for June? So you had a buildup to what was (to most) the best match across both nights of Wrestlemania. And instead of a decent reign, it is quite possibly done in a month? TKO really doesn’t give a shit about the people they overcharge to watch the product, huh? Most of the time it sounds like those people who fantasy book who have no idea how to do it. Fuckit, who cares? Gimme Roman and hope in dreams and miracles
(DSS) Another Roman Reigns title…reign. Jacob Fatu is on another level and truly has Roman playing defense. I’m all for it. Jacob Fatu is from my part of the world, and I need to see a Sacramento World Champion. Not only that, but there is so much drama around Roman’s contract and future appearances. We don’t need all that from our champion, whether it’s grounded in actual facts or not. We need a champion who is all gas, no brakes with it. Give me Fatu with the surprise win to end Roman’s Reign before it begins.
(IG) Hear me out… Roman holds this thing until 2031 to beat his own record, and then loses it to a returning Rock at Wrestlemania 47 in Riyadh! Nah, I’m just joking. But if it ends up happening, you heard it here first… This matchup is intriguing and the build up obviously had to be rushed to make it to Backlash. But, I’m not at all upset with where we are at with the story. Is it the same-ish Bloodline feud that we’ve seen before? Yes. But, this time, we have a chance of seeing Jacob Fatu take the next step in becoming a main eventer. I think creative knows that we are all expecting this to turn into another “Roman, the part timer, holding the title for a while”. But I have a weird feeling that they surprise us, and give Jacob Fatu the ball.
The Great Brown Hope’s Pick:
Jacob Fatu via Pinfall
PaperClip Mike’s Pick:
Roman Reigns via Pinfall
Darkstar Shady’s Pick:
Jacob Fatu via Pinfall
Ian G’s Pick:
Jacob Fatu via Pinfall
